{~Devon's pov~}
She drove to the address and then she teared up we were at an....
Orphanage, she looked at me and then smiled and then I hugged her tightly "I planned this two months ago I already picked out the kids we have twins" I rubbed her back and smiled and then she gasped "let's go what are we waiting for!" She took my hand and ran inside and then we talked to the lady at the counter upfront and then we ended up adopting twin boys
They were two beautiful handsome boys who were POC (people of color) and we didn't care if we were not the same race as them or that people would judge us for adopting out of our race as long as we made the kids happy and they made us happy
they were confused on why we would adopt them at first but then they were happy about it we took them home and they loved it they told us about their back story on how they ended up in the orphanage their father was arrested for killing their mother and they had no other family that wanted or was able to take care of them
Which made y/n very upset she promised she would take care of them no matter what is was they needed or wanted she told them that they would be accepted as whoever they wanted to be as long as it wasn't bad and they both nodded
The kids slept on a blow up mattress cause we needed to fix the baby room first and the next day we went on a shopping spree for the boys room and clothes for them
Kenny tapped y/n's leg and she looked at him and he picked something out that he liked it was a blue skirt I didn't mind him getting it and neither did Devon so we got it for him but his brother AJ was not happy about it "Skirts are for girls!" Kenny teared up as AJ laughed at him and i pulled AJ to the side to talk to him and Y/N went to go talk to Kenny on the side "AJ that wasn't very nice we accept your brother for who he is it doesn't matter" AJ rolled his eyes and nodded and Kenny was still crying he had a soft heart plus he wasn't a big fan of yelling thanks to his dad
We got the kids ice cream afterwards we found out Kenny loves chocolate chip ice cream and AJ love chocolate ice cream
We went home and watched Encanto with the kids they loved it Kenny thought Camilo was cute and AJ had a huge crush on Dolores which made me and y/n laugh she was finally happy I kissed her softly and she smiled brightly and was grateful to have her in my life
