NARRATION
Laela's POV
"So, I guess this night ends here?" Cassius asked as the party finished. Pauwi na ako at ang sabi, baka raw sabay na kami ni Uno since nakisuyo si Celeste na ihatid muna ako nito.
I nodded at Cassius' remark. I had fun talking to him earlier. Ang sabi nila matapang siya at mayabang sa personal pero parang hindi naman. Mas nakilala ko siya ngayong gabi and I have no regrets that I met him here at tita Eve's birthday party.
"Thanks for your company, Cass," I remarked and he just smiled while both of his hands were on the pockets of his pants.
"I enjoyed yours too and I'm hoping that this is not the last."
"We'll see about that."
We both chuckled before Uno interfered saying that we have to go now. Cassius and I then had our one last goodbye before we parted ways.
"Ano? Jowa material ba?" Uno asked when we were driving home already. I chuckled and shook my head no.
"Hindi. He's nice and all that pero... hanggang doon lang 'yon," saad ko.
"Baka naman ang pinsan ang gusto mo."
"Baliw. Hindi ko pa nga nakakasama 'yon in flesh. I just don't feel like Cassius is a boyfriend material for me. Alam mo 'yong kahit tumagal pa kaming mag-uusap o magkikita, sigurado akong wala pa rin."
I heard Uno sigh. "This is bad news to him. He usually is considered to be a boyfriend material."
I rested my head on his car's window and closed my eyes. "Well, not for me."
Hindi ko na siya narinig na magsalita hanggang sa makatanggap ako ng chat galing sa magpinsan. Cassius saying his gratitude once more and Asher asking me about how things went with his cousin.
Hmm... what a complicated entanglement.
