By the time the four of them made it down to the lab, Tony had to tell Harley to get Harry out of a neck lock twice. Peter had just stayed silent, carrying the pizzas and then munching on his own silently as he witnessed drama and science converge in an almost beautiful way.

The H twins (as Peter would be more commonly referring to them as) were working on improving a cheap laser tag set they'd bought from Walmart, trying to make the aim more accurate and the guns look cooler. Tony was hunched over at one of the many metallic desks, typing away furiously at some coding Peter wouldn't be able to read unless he sat down for about an hour per page. That was with a baby-step translating key.

Peter was already on his last pizza, almost feeling left out with nothing to work on and no one giving him any instructions. Everyone was too engrossed in something to really care, so he was left to devices that he did not own.

Peter spotted an outlet by his feet, so he rolled over to it in his rolling chair and plugged his still-dead phone into it to try and pass the (admittedly lonely) time.

The movement must've caught someone's eye, because he turned around to hear Harry tapping on Tony's shoulder and asking exactly why the hell Spiderman was in the lab with them if he was just going to sit there.

Kind of rude maybe, but it was a valid question. Peter also didn't have an answer for that.

"Right!" Tony swiveled around to the teen, "you're what, five, right?" He rose his voice to reach a point where Peter was supposed to hear on average, "nerds like you always have little ideas you want to make. Ask Friday for whatever you need. If it's not in the lab, she'll order it. You have any experience with 3D modeling?".

Peter nodded his head, thinking back to the time he, Ned, and Harry built Egyptian cats with Dwayne the Rock's face as a prank on their algebra teacher in 8th grade. They passed with a 95.

Harry had gotten one for his birthday, and went wild with it. Everybody loved his mini obsession with it, and he made quite the profit of cash printing stuff out for classmates on weekends.

Not that he actually needed the money, but he'd split it with Peter with the excuse 'you're the one who inspired me to start', which Peter now realized was a gimmick to pay him during that rough patch in his life.

He wasn't sure to take it as pity or appreciate it as it was.

"Great. We have a couple versions of those if you ever want. Harry, does what you're working on have room for a third party?" Tony sounded like he was talking to a group of toddlers, trying to include the lonely sad one without causing drama.

"I mean, the laser gun packs came with four. We could let him start one one of the spares" Harry looked over to Harley for confirmation, who was staring at Peter thoughtfully.

Harley shrugged, tossing one at Peter carelessly as he turned around and went back to his own thing. Harry snorted at him, giving Peter a look he really wouldn't have been able to translate if he tried. Tony rolled his eyes at the interaction, waving them off.

"He likes you" Harry grinned teasingly, speaking loudly enough to be sure Harley picked up on it.

Peter elected to ignore that for now. He knew all the tricks to violence via jokes.

Harry was met with the fourth gun smacking him in the shoulder, Tony shouting out a "hey!" As he pointed a stern finger at the tallest teen.

Harley stuck his tongue out at Harry, which Peter couldn't help but laugh at, thinking of Tony as a last minute babysitter for the muggle version of the Weasley twins.

As out of place as he felt, he certainly wasn't devoid of any entertainment it seemed.

He dragged his chair towards the H twin's table, glancing over at the stacks of notes and ideas they'd come up with. He wondered how far they'd gotten compared to a fresh start, and wether or not he'd actually be able to catch up to them.
