The lights turned on and…
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
"HAPPY SWEET 16TH"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVY"
All of them greeted me ng sabay sabay. There were confettis, balloons, and banners. The place was galaxy themed.
"Omg. I thought I was gonna get shot or something" I said na hinihingal hingal pa ng unti.
"Oh I'm sorry sis. HAHAHAH.This was our plan talaga right mom and dad?" Ate said habang tumatawa.
"Yes Avy planado to" dad said
Ate Liz handed me the galaxy themed cake and kinantahan ako ng mga nandon ng happy birthday.
"Girl! Happy Birthday" sabi ni Riry na nag squeal pa. At hinug ako
"Thanks Riry" I said.
"Hi Xin. Excuse lang saglit kay Avy ha, I'll just introduce her to my colleagues" dad said
"Sure po tito. I'll just wait for you here Avy"
And with that hinila ako ni dad papunta sa mga colleagues nya. I saw a man and with his wife na kasing edad nina dad and mom.
"Hey Liam my daughter, Avy. Avy, Liam." Dad said. Medyo may kabataan din ito siguro mas matanda lang sa akin ng mga 5 taon siguro?
"Hello po" sabi ko naman.
"No need to say 'po' di naman ako ganong katanda" he said. Infairness ang gwapo ha.
"Yeah sure. Anyways dad I gotta go back to Riry. Baka hinahanap na niya ako"
After that ay binalikan ko na si Riry. We talked for sometime hanggang sa pumunta ulit sa table namin si Liam.
"Hey" he said
"Hi Liam. Ah by the way this is Xin” I said and then they shook hands.
“By the way Avy do you have a boyfriend?” He suddenly asked which shocked me a little.
“Ummm… No. I do not have someone at the moment” I said na medyo naaakward.
“Really?” He said tapos bahagyang hinawakan yung braso ko sa kabilang side kaya medyo nakaakbay siya sa akin. It made me a little bit uncomfortable but I think I can manage naman.
“Yeah she does not have someone at the moment pero may nanliligaw sa kanya. FYI lang” Xin said habang nagmamaldita.
“Well who is he?” Sabi ni Liam na nagtataka at nakataas ang isang kilay.
“Hi I’m Cole.” Nagulat ako nang may magsalita at nag handshake kay Liam. IT WAS COLE. I didn’t know na pupunta sya?
“Hey love” He said then pulled my waist para lumapit ako sa kanya. WTH?!?!?! LOVE?!
I bit my lip to stop mysf from smiling ang squealing. How the heck can this guy give me butterflies effortlessly???
“Um. hi” I said to Cole awkwardly
“So. Who might you be?” Liam asked curiously
“I’m Cole. Her suitor. Future Boyfriend” Cole said confidently. Hay nako. Typical Cole... Mahangin
“Well I wouldn’t be sure of that” Sabat naman ni Liam.
After that we got silent for a moment at nakikita kong nagtititigan sina Cole and Liam. habang kami naman ni Riry ay naguusap sa tingin.
“Ow.key... Ummm.. This is awkward… Um. So We’ll just leave you guys for a while muna. Me and Avy are gonna get food lang.” Riry said.
Hinila ako ni Riry para umalis “Wag kayong magpatayan ah. Ciao!” Pahabol pa niya.
