Name: prologue
The rain hitting hard onto the windows creating a loud pattern each time it hit
A heavy clash was heard then the room lighting up from the lightning then a loud bang from the thunder.
A scared yelp was heard from a girl that seemed no older then 6, soft cry's coming from the blanket she was under. A few more moments of crying, the child gave herself a moment of deciding, she got out of bed small feet hitting the wooden floors taking her green blanket with her.
Dragging her blanket on the floor a portion of it covering her while the other portion dragged along the floor boards
She took a few steps until she reached the door of her room, going on the tips of her feet to reach the door knob small soft hands twisting the round knob swinging the door open
Round (E/C) eyes looked around the dark hall way taking small steps to her mother's room, eyes darting from a painting to a flower pot a daisy that was slowly wilting away in the pot
Big eyes captured the door of her mothers room taking faster and bigger steps to reach the door
Repeating the same action she did with her own door, going on the tip of her feet reaching her small hands to the door knob twisting the circle knob pushing the door open
In a hurried state as another loud bang was heard
Her small self climbed onto her mother's bed crawling over to the lump under the blankets and shaking her, eye glossing over with tears as the rained grew heavy hitting hard on the window
A soft groan was heard from the lump under the blankets
"Yes dear?" The woman spoke she seemed to be in her late 20, spoke hearing the tiredness from those two words in her voice
"M-mum" the younger one said her voice stuttering, small splotches of tears fell out of her wide eyes her lamb ears twitching slightly
another loud bang and after a moment the room lighting up for a split second before going back to the dark room it originally was
The mother got out of bed looked at her daughter, she couldn't make anything out besides the glossy eyes and tears dropping down her chin to the covers
She looked at the young one, heart clenching
She pulled the little lamb into her arms and hugged her, falling onto her side bringing the (H/C) haired girl with her, pulling the blankets over both of them, the mother started to stroke the (H/C) (H/L) hair in a soothing way,
She tilted her head just enough to look at the child
"What happened?, Did the storm wake you up?" She asked in a hushed tone careful not to be too loud and scare her
All she got was a Soft sniffles and a nod as her reply, hiding her small face in the mother's neck salty warm tears drenching the neck growing the wet feeling once warm now growing cold as the younger one cried into her mother's neck
"It's alright [Y/n] mum is here no need to worry, I won't let anyone hurt you as long as your right besides me, I'm here to protect you" the words of reassurance calmed her down there was no more tear a few sniffles and a little bit of hiccups was still present. But that was fine
The older woman started to hum a small tune from a music disc, the child's favourite infact, Ward
She softly hummed it until the (H/C) haired girl fell asleep in her arms soft snores
A few more minutes passed before the mother was able to fall asleep herself.
