Finally it was the weekend. Alexander wasn't in class on Wednesday and my Tuesday and Thursday classes were a breeze.

"So what's your plans for today?" I asked Kylie on Friday as we were both laying in bed on our phone. The AC was off and we had the windows open to let the cool breeze in. The sounds of the city were outside, but my record player was on and playing the Lumineers.

"Nothing. Want to hang out today?" She asked sitting up on her bed and looking over at me. I shrugged my shoulders and laughed at how messy her hair looks.

"You have bed head hair." I laughed and got up from my bed to head to the showers. Kylie grabbed onto my arm before I headed out and showed me a website. "What's this? And don't get too close, I have morning breath."

"I did some digging by the way." She said staying on her bed and handed me her phone as she explained. I scrolled through the article and was surprised to see Alexander's face. "He was at this club the other day that got shot up. Like this guy just brings bad news. It says that there were ten victims in the shooting and it says here that one of the victims was this boy our age. Friends to Alexander."

"If he's this much danger, why is he going to college?" I asked rolling my eyes and handed her phone back. He's so confusing. "It doesn't make any sense."

"Maybe he just wants to live a normal life, it makes sense." She shrugged and shook her head. I stepped away and grabbed my stuff for the shower. "Have you seen him since?"

"Nope and I don't want to. I'm just going to try and graduate college and have fun! We should take edibles and go to the aquarium!" I suggested wiggling my eyebrows. She laughed and shook her head.

"Agreed. I'm so stressed out from these biology and chem classes already, they're a lot more work than I was expecting." She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "But what are you going to do, you know?"

"I can imagine, I hate science." I laughed and so did she before I went to take a shower.

We took the edibles as I drove to the aquarium nearby. I can't wait for these to hit. We decided to take two and just spend the day here. There's so many exhibits, I can't wait to explore it all.

"I love this song!" She exclaimed turning up the volume and sang along. I laughed and did as well, enjoying the Chicago breeze. We were dressed in completely opposite colors. Her outfit being a light pink cropped top and blue jeans with white converse, I wore a brown full length top and black leggings. I love brown.

"We should smoke before too." I suggested looking over as she took out a pre roll from the glove compartment. I laughed again and parked before lighting up.

It wasn't long before the colors of the aquarium morphed into one giant rainbow and the animals were the most interesting thing in the world.

We held hands and spun each other as we walked through the overhead water tank thing that had like sharks and shit.

There were benches for people to sit at but because of the time, there was barely anyone here. Laying down across one another on the benches, we stared up at the fishes.

"You ever wonder what would have happened if you were born a fish?" She asked from across the hallway. I giggled and shook my head.

"Not necessarily, I've always wanted to be a dolphin." I admitted, my body shivered at the thought. A shiver I can feel throughout my whole body. "I love swimming."

"Then why not be a mermaid?" She asked looking over at me with a ridiculously large smile. A mermaid? I love mermaid shows.

"Because they're not real." Why would I want to be something that's fake?
