BEA'S POV
It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I'm still awake.
I promised myself to give Sam space for her to somehow miss me but it turns out I'm the one longing for her now.
Ang hirap, sobra.
Tatlong araw palang, pakiramdam ko more than a year ko na siyang hindi nakikita.
It's also her birthday today and I don't even know what message to send her.
Kanina pa akong 12 midnight na ganito.
Should I just say happy birthday?
No, it's too cold.
Should I say "Happy birthday, Sam! See you today this afternoon?"
I think no. Baka isipin masyado akong excited.
Well, I am. Nakakahiya lang siguro na masobrahan.
Should I say "Happy birthday, Sam! I miss you?"
Ang clingy, it's so not me.
Who am I kidding? I'm clingy when it comes to her.
Basta ayoko non, parang super clingy naman masyado.
Should I say "Hey, happy birthday! God bless?"
What the? God bless? Baka lumampas ka naman sa langit nyan, Bea.
I guess a simple "Happy birthday!" sounds nice. Isesend ko na.
Okay delete delete, walang kaemo-emosyon.
That's it, I'm calling her.
PHONE CALL
Bea: Hey! Did I wake you up?
Sam: No. I'm wide awake. Buti tumawag ka, I miss you.
Tanggal ang angas mo ngayon, de Leon. Birthday niya pero ikaw ang happy ah, nice.
Bea: Happy birthday!
Sam: Thank you! Akala ko hahabol ka pa kanina.
Bea: I'm really sorry, babawi naman ako diba? Kaya nga tayo aalis mamaya kung free ka pa.
Sam: Of course I am! Hindi na ako umoo sa kahit na sino kasi nagplano na tayo.
Sam: Kamusta naman ba dyan sa probinsya?
Bea: It would be better if I tell you nalang tonight kapag kasama na kita.
Sam: Para may actions yung pagkekwento?
Sam giggled and when I heard it, it made my day even if it just started.
Bea: Wow ako pa talaga yung may actions. You're the one kaya na favorite mag gagalaw ng arms.
Bea: But nothing's wrong with it, though. 'Cause it makes you, you. And I like...
Sam: You?
Bea: You like me?
Sam: What? Akala ko yung idudugtong mo sa sasabihin mo is you. I like... you.
I get what she's talking about but I just like it kapag nasasabaw siya nang biglaan habang inaasar ko siya.
Bea: Oh? You like me nga?
Sam: What?
Bea: You can like me naman, sasagutin din kita agad don't worry.
