You Got A Pizza My Heart (Juicy x Narrator)

I lean back in my chair in the break room, scrolling through Twitter. 

"Gibson!" My manager barges in. 

"What?" I roll my eyes.

"We have a new employee, I need you to train them," he says. 

"Isn't there someone else?" I groan.

"No, I need you, so get your ass up and out there," he says.

"I'm not off break for another 5 minutes. Can't they wait?" I ask.

"I don't care if you're still on your break, they aren't. I'm not paying either of you to sit around on your phones," he says.

"Fine, I'll be right there," I say.

"You better," my manager mutters and then leaves. I roll my eyes and shove my phone back into my pocket. If you're wondering, I work at a pizza joint. The name? Slice of Heaven. Cringy, I know. I've been working here for about 2 years now. Ever since I got out of my shitty old town, I wasn't able to find a better job than this. The job itself isn't terrible, it's just my manager. He can be a real dick sometimes. I trudge out to the front of the pizza place. I scan around for whoever this new employee is. Then I spot one of the most attractive men I've ever seen. 

"Hey cutie," I walk up to the man. 

"Are you Gaege?" I pause.

"How do you know my name?"

"You're the person that's supposed to be training me." F*ckkkkkkk.

"Oh, shit, I'm sorry. I thought you were a customer." Please don't tell me I'm going to get reported to HR. Do we even have an HR? It's probably just my dick manager. 

"It's fine, glad to know you think I'm cute," the guy says.

"Well, anyways, I'm Gaege," I say.

"Yes, I know," he says.

"Cocky now aren't we?" 

"I'm Grant," he says. 

"Eh, I like cutie better," I shrug. "I should probably start with you. Follow me." I lead him around to the kitchen where the cooks take the orders that we take. "After you take orders, you drop them off here. We only have 2 cooks. 1 per shift. Don't bug them about when orders will be ready. They don't take too kindly to that." Then I lead Grant to all the tables. "This is pretty self explanatory. You take orders. You have to memorize the menu pretty quickly though. The manager expects it to be done in the first week. Also each week you need to learn the specials. This week's is The House Special. There's pepperoni, olives, onions, our homemade sausage, and green peppers. Remember that." 

"Do you have all of it memorized?" Grant asks.

"I've been working here for 2 years, of course I have it memorized," I roll my eyes. 

"Wow, I didn't know you worked here that long. Has anyone else worked here that long?" Grant asks.

"Both chefs have been here for 4 years. The manager has been here for about 3 1/2. Not really anyone else has. They normally take waitressing jobs while they're trying to find a job acting. I mean, it's California, what do you expect," I roll my eyes. "Not many people get an acting job, but they somehow make it out of this hell hole."

"Are you an actor?" Grant asks.

"Hell no," I say. "I've been working on my degree for the past 2 years. 2 more to go and then I'll get a shit ton better job than this job."

"Are you bad mouthing this place to another employee, Gibson?" My manager appears. 

"What can I say, it's all I'm good at," I say. My manager grunts and leaves us alone. "You can shadow me for tonight, but I'd start memorizing the menu if I were you."

"Are you dating anyone?" Grant spits out. He looks surprised at his own words.

"Um, no? Why?" 

"Just wondering."

"Do you have any hot dudes to set me up with?" I ask.

"Not any that I know of," Grant scratches the back of his head. 

"Well, I'm talking to one right now," I say. Grant gives me kind of a surprised look. "Don't give me that look. I called you cute for a reason."

"Well, then I'd like to take you out for dinner sometime," Grant says.

"Please no pizza," I moan. 

"No, no. I was thinking about Olive Garden?" 

"Sounds great, I'm down," I say. 

"Great," Grant gives me a big smile and I blush a little. I yank out my pad and walk to a table that doesn't seem to have drinks or anything. Maybe this new employee won't be as bad as I thought.
