"I'll be right back."

Turns out that I can't exactly confess to murder over the phone, so I need to go to Agent Collins' office to talk to him in person. I couldn't do it immediately because it was Friday and the office was closed on weekends. Happy Monday to me.

"Where are you going?" Luciano asks. I turn to look at him and he's already staring back at me with an intense glare. The room is bright and I can see his eyes clearly. Green.

"Nowhere important. Just to see a friend," I lie. I try to avoid his gaze by looking at Bella who's occupied watching Dora. "Do you want anything sweetie?"

"No thank you," she replies and I nod.

"I'm gonna go now," I tell Luciano and I turn around. He grabs my arm and spins me around so I'm facing him again. Why is he so close?

"Don't do anything stupid Iris." His eyes are fixated on mine and I can't help but keep eye contact.

"Yep," I reply as I cross my fingers behind my back. I pull my hand away and make my way to the door.

As much as I want to stay still, I can't. I cannot handle someone else going to jail because I can't control my crazy. I am already stressing about my mom because I've been missing her a lot more lately, and I want to see her. And now, I can't imagine how much Bella misses her dad and it's my fault he's gone. She hasn't asked for him much, but the few times she did broke my heart. I miss him too.

Anyway, I get in the car and make my way to his office. I make sure to put on sunglasses to hide my face a little because this feels highly secretive.

I drive to Agent Collins' office and come face to face with his assistant. I had an appointment for 10:30 AM and my stomach is feeling funny already. I thought this was going to be easy but the closer I get to speaking to him, the more scared I am. I mean what the fuck am I doing? I could mess up everything. I should've just listened to Luciano and let the lawyers handle everything. Maybe I should just leav-

"Ms. James," the agent comes out and greets me. No turning back now.

"How are you doing?"

"Hi, agent. I'm doing good and you?"

"Doing good too. Shall we?" He points to his office and I follow behind him. After I get seated, he closes the door and sits at his desk facing me. "Are you okay with this conversation being recorded for lawful purposes?"

"Yes, I am," I reply in a shaky breath.

"And are you about to say anything under duress or because you were coerced to?"

"No, I am not. I am here completely of my free will."

"Alright, Ms. James. Whenever you're ready, you can start talking.

I take in a heavy breath and gather all of my thoughts before talking. "Leo didn't kill Zane," I start to confess and he holds his index finger up to stop me.

"If you could please use full names. For certainty."

"Leonardo Sorelli did not kill Zane Morris," I restate.

"And how do you know this?" He questions.

"Because I did," I say after clearing my throat.

"Ms. James, are you confessing to the murder of Zane Morris?"
