---6:00AM---

I woke up somewhat early, because Dale Junior was picking me up at 7 to go the the shop. -So some stuff about me, my name is Kaylee Homerding, I am 22 almost 23, I have an awesome house just down the street from Dale Earnhardt Junior, and I worked on Jimmie Johnson's car for two years.- I got dressed in some jeans, a tee shirt, and a pair of cowboy boots (pictured above). I did my hair and got all of my stuff together and ate some breakfast. Once I finished eating I texted Dale.

Kaylee: hey jr I'm ready to go, so just let me know when u r almost here.

Dale: ok. I'm leaving in like 5 minutes.

Kaylee: okay see u soon.

I ran to the bathroom quick to brush my teeth. I went and filled up my water bottle and then I walked outside and locked my door and waited for Dale.

"Hey Dale," I said as I opened his truck door.

"Hey, so you excited for today?" Dale asked

"Yeah. So what's all going on, besides getting my seat fit."

"There should be some tours for visitors, so you will have to sign stuff for fans. And how are you not cold?!?!"

"Remember I'm from Wisconsin. And ok, even though I don't think a lot of people will recognize me since I have never raced before."

"True. Well who knows, I mean your picture has gotten out there so maybe they will."

"Yeah, just wait and see. So yesterday was my first contract day."

"That's right. So we got about a 41 minute drive, you want to listen to some music?"

"Sure, I don't care what as long as it's not Justin Bieber."

"Aw why not he's my favorite," I gave Dale a glare. "I'm kidding, how bout some Nickleback?"

"Yes!"

"Ok then."

"What?"

"You are like having mood swings right now."

"I have them all the time."

"Oh."

"You know, this will be my 3rd year working at Hendrick Motorsport, but first year as a driver."

"Has it been that long already? Seems like just yesterday you where just starting to work on Johnson's car."

"Yeah I know, time flies when your having fun."

"Yeah it does."

"I wonder if Jimmie will be there today or not."

"Who knows, he such a crazy guy, and it depends on how his girls are acting."

"Yeah."

"Well we are here."

"Ok, I think I'm ready."

"You'll be fine," Dale said as we got out.

"Thanks for the ride."

"Hey, it's not that far out of my way and plus we were going to the same place."

"True," I said as we walked in.

We walked out our shops, and of course I had to share mine with Chase Elliott, I mean we are good friends but when it comes to racing we are complete enemies.

"Morning Chase," I said as I walked over to him.

"Morning Kaylee," Chase said as he turned around and gave me a hug, holy crap he smells so good.
