i suppose i had an image of you
that i'd painted in my mind
an ideal version that became like the sun
and so it was hardly a surprise
when i like icarus had fallen after flying far too close
reaching for someone who was never there
only it was a surprise to find
that your secrets were the sea
into which i fell in
*the awkward moment when this is about a real person you know .............. oh well what's happened happened :))))
