Travis's POV

We were at football practice. The coach signaled it was our water break. I sighed. I love football but our coach works us like dogs.

I ran over to the water bucket. I looked up at Anna who was on the phone. She looked serious then she went pale.

I wonder what's going on. I heard her say Shay and hospital. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I jumped over the water bucket successfully and ran over to Anna.

Anna just got off the phone when I got to her. "Who was that?!"

She went even more pale when she looked up at me. At this point Jason and Carter were by my side.

"That was Raelynn. Shay is in the hospital. So is Shays mom. Shays mom passed out after a phone call. Shay had a panic attack and blacked out. Angie is awake. But Shay, she might not make it."

I felt as if my heart was just ripped out of my chest. Carter out a hand on my back. I whipped around and looked at the boys. I knew my eyes were covered in tears, threatening to fall.

Carter pulled me in a hug. I cried into him. "I'm so sorry Travis."

Anna's phone rang again. "Christina? What! Jen?? She got hit?! I'm on my way is it the same hospital as Shay and Angie? Yes okay bye!!" She hung up and was about to get in and leave.

Carter let go of me and rushed too her side and blocked her. "What about Jen." He seethed. She swallowed.

"Jen was hit. By a semi-truck."

Carter's POV

My heart was just ripped out. I can feel the ground shaking. I could see black dots forming. I couldn't breathe. Everyone's voices were muffled. I couldn't hear a thing.

I ran out to the street. I was about to cross it to go to my car. I turned my head to the left. Just in time to see a car coming right towards me.

The head lights were the last thing I seen. Then the world went black.
