Milli sat right into my lap as Mani put her seatbelt on
"she so tiny oh my goshhh" i said while driving off
"i didn't even know my dad was getting her, i didn't even think he would get me a pet" she said excitingly
i smiled. Mani had been distant since we last saw each other, she's my best friend and i just want her to be okay and her smile was a genuine smile so i knew at the moment she was happy
"i'm glad he got USSS a puppy" i said while petting Milli
she laughed "yea so whenever you wanna get her come right over cause i know she finna be a headache"
we just talked the rest of the ride, laughing and joking like kids
as we pulled into my parking spot i felt a weird energy, like Mani's whole mood just changed.
"who all here" Mani asked as we walked up to my apartment
"everybody i think. why what's wrong" i asked
she stayed silent and then said "nothing ion want all these folks around my baby" she said jokingly

when we entered the house Mani said "hey everyone" did a quick wave then went straight to my room.

"what the fuck .." i mumbled to myself while following her into my room
"Mani what's wrong. like deadass" i said as she laid down with Milli
"nothing." she said in a low voice
i sat on the bed with her "you're my best friend. i know when you're hiding something"
"Ty .." then she paused
"Ty .. ? Ty what Armani" i asked. "did Ty make some stops on the way to your house?"
"what?! no. Ty ate me out" she said then looked away
"huh" i said confused
"only once. then he stayed at my house for like 3 days and we haven't talked since." she continued

"you deadass?" i asked
"why would i lie?" she said as she picked up Milli. "just act normal, i don't know what me and him have going on but i don't wanna talk about it."
we went to the living room and i saw Ty eyeing her as she walked to sit by Mara
"awww da babyyyy" Mara picked Milli up
"how old she is again?" i asked
"like 2 months" Mani said excitingly
