A: How soon can we get married.
C: Are you afraid I will vanish?
A: Yes.  Or go back to heaven.

She laughed.

C: Far from an angel.
A: Big wedding or small?
C: Small.
A: Summer or winter?
C:Summer.
A: I have a planner and we can get married by August?
C: Are you sure?
A: Yes.
C: Ok.

We went to bed earlier than usual.

A: What are you doing, babe?
C: setting the alarm to take my meds.
A: Ok.

She fell asleep.
I took her phone and turned off the alarm. I set mine and turned hers off.  I took the meds to my nightstand.
My alarm went off.

A: Baby, take these.

She took the pills and water I offered.  She never opened her eyes.
I set my alarm for 6 hours.
I went back to sleep.
The sun woke me up as it shone in my face.
I could smell breakfast cooking.  I felt Charlotte in my arms.
What the fuck.  If it's Kris, I might consider turning my head when Bobby grabs her.
I pull my joggers on, grab my gun and walk to the kitchen.

I lower my gun.

A: What are you doing, J? You scared the shit out of me.
J: We haven't gone shopping yet, and no offense but the food around here is shit.

I laughed.

A: Thank you,  I'm going to take a shower.

I walk back upstairs.

The bathroom light is on.
I walk in as she dries off.

A: How are you this morning, beautiful?
C: Good.  Did my alarm go off last night?
A: I turned yours off and set mine.
C: You're so sweet, baby. Thank you for that.
A: You're carrying our baby.  I'm going to take care of you.
C: Did you cook?
A: J did.

She rushed to get ready.

A: Is he a good cook?
C: Yes.

Charlotte's phone rang.

J: Chocolate gravy in 5 minutes, You know it's shit when it gets cold.

C: He made chocolate gravy.
A: I'm not sure I like how that sounds.

I shower quickly and dress.

A: What is this?
C: J, forgive him.  Open up.
A: Shit, that is good.

My 6-hour alarm went off.
I had her meds in my pocket.

A: Time for meds.

She took the pills.

J: So, you carry pills around for her?
A: They are anti-nausea meds. She is having a rough time.
J: Probably the food here.
A: Would you like to be the chef?  If it keeps her from getting sick, you can order or have my card go grocery shopping.  You could, and I will buy all the food and pay you to do so, but you and Bobby have to eat with us if you cook?
J: What about we do that instead of paying me? That can be my rent?
A: Whatever you want.  As long as she is happy and both of them are healthy, I don't care.  Besides, I might need you and Bobby Lee to stay here when I have an appearance if she doesn't feel up to flying.
J: We can do that.  She is stubborn.
A: I know. I think it's cute.
C: Why do you both talk about me like I'm not here?
A: I'm letting you enjoy your food instead of talking.

Bobby Lee walked in.

C: You're late; I ate it all.
B: You don't eat enough to keep a bird alive.
J: I made you a plate.  She has been eating Yankee food. She is starving.

Bobby Lee and Charlotte were planning the wedding.

A: I'm going to play in the studio.  You're welcome to come or look at real estate.
J: I'll look at real estate.
A: OK.
C: AUSTIN!
A: Yes, dear.
C: Destination or local?
A: Whatever you want.
C: Come here; we have narrowed it down.
A: Are you asking for help?
C: Yes.
A: I'll help, but all you have to do is tell me the time, place, and what to wear.
C: A destination wedding sounds fun, but the vineyards are so beautiful.
A: What about a destination wedding at a vineyard in France?
C: Will the US recognize it?
A: If not, we can have a courthouse wedding before we leave, then do it.
C: That works.

I pull my vineyard up.

A: What about this one?
C: That is beautiful.
A: What day?
C: August 28?  Is that ok with you?
A: Booked.
C: Honey, I'm sure that was expensive. Please don't spend...
A: Baby, we own it.
C: What?

I shook my head.

A: Everyone can fly on our private jet.

She looked at me dumbfounded.

A: Your future husband is successful.

She shook her head.

J: She has never been speechless.

He took a picture.
I held my hand out.  She took it.
I led her to the koi pond.

A: Breath.
A: Are you ok?

She nodded.

A: Talk to me.. Did you not know?
C: I knew you were well off, but not a vineyard in France, a private jet well off.
A: Come here.

I pulled my phone out.

A: Here.
C: What are these?
A: My tax returns.
C: What the fuck.

I laughed.

A: I can afford to take care of and spoil you and our baby.
C: I'm only bringing debt into this marriage.
A: Stop that. I already paid off your house and student loans.
C: You didn't have to.
A: I told you I would.
C: How?
A: Kirby is good.
C: Austin, I...
A: Please, baby talk to me.
C: You need a prenup.  Call your attorney.
A: I'm not worried.
C: I never want that to be a question or in the back of your mind.  Austin, I will not marry you until you have one.
A: Ok.  I know you would never do that, but ok.  I'll call Kirby.
C: Thank you.
A: Why do you need that?
C: I'm not planning on it happening, and I hope it never does, but if we separate, I want that to be standard for you.  I don't want you hurt or taken advantage of because you have a big beautiful, loving heart.
A: So, you think our relationship won't last.
C: I think it will, but if something happens and I go before you, I'm not having some Kris swooping in and taking everything you worked for.  It's to protect you and our baby.
A: I understand that.

I called Kirby and put him on speaker.

A: I need a prenup.  When can you come to our house?
K: Is she going to cause a scene?
A: No, she is making me get one.
K: I like her. I will make it fair for her to.  She is listening, isn't she?
A: Yes.  You are on, speaker, and she is beside me.
K: Thank you for being good to my boy.
C: He is one of the good ones.
