You awoke in the middle of the night to a weight on your stomach. As you looked, you saw Milo curled up on you like you were his new bed. As you started to sit up you slowly lifted Milo off of your stomach and gently placed him onto the bed still sound asleep. Once you finally managed to get off the bed you immediately took a deep breath and readied yourself for the night ahead. When you were done you took one last look at the sleeping Milo and couldn't help but smile as you watched his little feet start to dangle around happily.

You slowly closed the door to your room behind you as you walked out and into the living room, trying your hardest to avoid waking up Joshua who was still asleep in the next room. A fireplace quickly ignited at the front of the room faintly illuminating everything with a warm orange hue. As you made your way through the living room and over toward it, you couldn't help but slowly feel drawn toward the flames. The way they danced around one another in both beauty and destruction, ever-expanding with one's breath and collapsing with one's release.

The familiar warmth slowly began to wrap around your entire body like a blanket of calming embers coaxing you further and further into its embrace and away from the night ahead and the world outside as it did every night...

....If only you had the luxury to listen. You inevitably forced your eyes away from the flames before extinguishing them completely as you turned off the fireplace returning the room back to its quiet darkness, you sat there in silence for a moment letting the world around you sync in again. You sighed heavily as you ran your hand through your hair. It was time to go.

You pushed a button on the side of the fireplace and watched as it all slowly began to move like a revolving door and where once stood a fireplace now stood your gear, your mask, your weapons, and everything you are now...and you took it all.
