It's been a few days since we arrived in Italy. Dad told me that I won't see the maids because it's part of their job.
I grew closer to my family. I spent a lot in the library reading and studying.
Dad made some deals and let me write all my tests online. After a while, I got my report and passed.
I also signed up for a few online college classes. I was reading a book sitting in the library when a guy came in
"Sorry miss. I thought you'd be done," he said and wanted to leave but I stopped him
"It's fine. I was just leaving," I said and left the room.
I went to the kitchen and saw Daniel working on his laptop. I walked to him and sat down next to him
"What's wrong?" He asked
"Nothing just bord," I said and laid my head on his shoulder
I got an idea and grabbed his computer. He gave me a look and I kissed his cheek and started searching on the web.
"What are you looking for?" He asked
"A job," I said
"Nope..." He said but dad came in and said, "That's a good idea,"
I grinned and continue searching. After a while, I found the perfect job but there was one problem.
I send an application and exit the site. When dinner came we all sat down and ate.
"Did you find a job?" Daniel asked
"Yeah but there's one problem," I said
"What is it?" Dad asked
"The job is in New York," I said and everyone looked at me
"Oh, are you thinking about it?" Grandpa asked
"I send in my application and waiting to hear back," I said
"What's the job?" He asked
"Assistant job and translation. I have to know at least 7 languages," I said
"Do you?" Elijah asked
"I know 15 languages," I said
"Your kidding?" Daniel said and I shook my head before saying, "I had a lot of free time in my hand as I kid because I never liked playing with others so instead, I kept my nose in a book and learned a lot," I said
"Nerd," Darius said and got hit on the by dad and uncle Phoenix
"When would you know if you could go for the interview?" Dad asked
"They'll probably let me know in the morning," I said
He nodded his head. After we were done eating I cuddled with Daniel as we watched a movie.
My phone pinged and I saw it was an email. I open it and saw that I had an interview tomorrow at 9 am.
"Shit," I said and Daniel kissed my head before saying, "Go pack I'll tell dad and the rest that we'll take the plane,"
I kissed his cheek and rushed to my room and pack. After I packed Daniel came in and grabbed my back
I grabbed my laptop bag and put the laptop inside with my phone charger. I grabbed my phone and we went downstairs
"Why can't we go with her!" I heard Elijah whine
"Because you have to work idiot," Daniel said
"We can take time off," Darius said
"No, we can not," dad said and hugged me
"There will be a car for you when you arrive in New York and I called one of the hotels I own. You'll stay in the penthouse unless you want to go stay in the house we got there," Dad said
"The house you got there would be nice," I said
"Okay, Daniel will send you the location of the house. There will be a guy living with you though," Dad said
"Okay," I said
"He's a friend of mine. He'll keep an eye on you," Daniel said
I nodded my head and said goodbye to everyone. A driver took me to the airport and opened the door for me when we stopped
I got on the plane and the captain came in after me. He went to the cop pit and locked the door
When we got in the air a flight attended came to me and said that we'll land in New York at six and she gave me some coffee
I thanked her and went to the back. I looked at the location that Daniel send me and saw it was an hour away from where the interview was
I had enough time to go there and freshen up. I got some sleep bug around 4 I woke up
When we landed it was 5 am. My driver took me to the house and I used my father's keys since no one answered
Just as I opened the door a guy stood in front of me almost naked
"You must be May. Nice to meet you you can have any room on the second floor. I'm Kia btw," he said
"Why didn't you answer the door?' I asked
"Thought you were a crazy girl I slept with," he said and start looking me up and down
"Great," I said and walked past him
I went to the last room on the second floor and threw my bag on the bed.
I took a shower and got dressed for my interview.
When I was done I did my hair and put on a little mascara. I don't like a lot of make-up.
When I was done ot was 7 ish. I went downstairs and found the kitchen pretty fast.
I made myself some coffee but before I could take a sip of it Kia took my cup out of my hand and took a sip
I smiled and pour myself another cup although I wanted to skin him alive. I texted Dad and Daniel that I'm here safe at the house. Well, I thought I was until a blond chick came in and glared at me.
"Who is she?" The blondie asked
"Kate this is May," Kia said
"Kate?! Who the fuck is kate my name is Joslyn!" Blondie yelled
"Well look at the time bye," I said and left them arguing
My dad got me a driver even though I told him not to. I saw the keys and grabbed one before heading out.
The garage door opened and I climbed in the BMW.
"Nope get out. Your brothers will kill me if you take one of their cars," Kia said tapping on the window
"Well start arranging your funeral," I said and smirked before speeding out of there.
