New Girl

to the empty seat next to me.

"ewww! oh my god! is that patrick lucas tayler sitting next to me?"

he laughs a bit as i put my stuff down and sit down

"yes i got moved"

"of course you did"

i get out my stuff and start filling out my planner as patrick takes his phone out and goes on it facing away from me and resting on the whiteboard behind him.

"do you have any gum?"

"yeah here."

i get out a bag and give him a piece as he eats it and folds up the wrapper

he puts the wrapper on my desk as i put it in my backpack getting some of my homework and highlighters and start doing my homework as patrick plays on his phone

i start doing my homework and look over at patrick as he's focused on his game

i look around the class room seeing only about maybe 10? 12 kids makes since the 9th and graders had graduation today

"can you believe we're gonna be 7th graders next year?"

"yes i can't wait to not see your face for two months"

he laughs a bit jokingly, "they should really give us more"

"i know like two months isn't enough time at all for summer"

"seriously, they should give us like at least three"

"man that ain't no difference, just a month"

"it is"

"maybe the least be four ya know"

"that's literally the same thing i said - "

he stops talking when joey comes and takes a seat right beside me as him and patrick talk and i look back at my work

they stop and quickly look up over to the door as i look up and see this group of girls walk in asking for help in the auditorium

joey and patrick quickly raise their hands with a few other boys and a couple of girls

they get out everyone that raised their hands and joey and patrick do a little handshake as they walk out with them

i roll my eyes a bit and keep doing my work, only i wasn't.

now that i had them on my mind knowing they left me for a bunch of girls really shows them.

unless i'm just trippin, then i don't even know what i'm talking about.

i put away my work acting like i'm done and get out my phone slouching down a bit with out noticing and putting on the little mermaid.

i keep watching the movie trying to keep focus but my mind just kept zoning out to the empty seat next to me.

he actually left for a couple of girls? i can't believe i thought we liked each other

why do i even like him, ever since he joined that stupid baseball team he's been a big jerk.

ugh when he gets back i'm so going to ignore him and j -

"parker sweetie are you alright?"

"yes i'm fine why do you say that"

"well you have been looking at evan the whole time without speaking so we'd just like to make sure your okay?"
