Chief hasn't been doing anything recently, just hanging in his room. He hasn't heard news from the council on where Saren is, so the Normandy crew has just been adrift until further orders.
Cortana was doing her own things on the ship's database.
Chief then remembers that he hasn't done a crew check in awhile, especially since he has new people on his ship now. He then leaves his room to check on the crew.
The SPARTAN-II then walks to Kaiden, since he was the closest person to his area.
Kaiden looks over to see the Chief walking up to him. "Anything you need, Chief?"
"I'm going over another crew check, seeing how everyone is doing. Are you all good?" Chief asked.
"Is this an official evaluation, Chief? Or off the record?"
"Off the record. I just need to know where my crew stands."
Kaiden thought it through on what he wanted to say. "Personally, I am glad that we took down the Thorian. Don't need anything else to be like The Flood all over again."
"Understood, but besides that. Anything personal you need to discuss? Want to make sure everyone is good to go for the next mission."
"No Chief, I'm all good on my part. Just some things I'm dealing with a bit, but nothing to ruin future missions." Kaiden assured.
Chief nodded at him, and let Kaiden continue his business.
He then walks over to the dining table, where Fives and Echo were talking. They quickly got up and saluted him.
Chief nodded for atease."Fives, Echo. Everything going alright? Making sure everyone is all good for future missions."
"Yes sir. We're still in tip top shape. Nothing to worry about." Fives answers.
"Any personal things I should know about?"
Fives and Echo look at each other, then back to Chief. "Not really, besides missing our family. But that's expected for Military life." Echo explained.
"What is your family like?" Chief asked, trying to know about the two.
"Nothing much to say, our father was part of the Human-Covenant war, and we just followed in his footsteps." Fives explained.
"But we do have a big family. Lots of uncles, cousins, and other brothers." Echo continued.
He then shows a picture of their family.
