Dr. Catherine Halsey, leader of the Spartan-II project, was sitting in an interrogation room. Waiting for the person to ask their questions to her.

She then begins to look back on the last few years since the Covenant war and the First contact war, knowing how her Spartans and other Spartans from different projects managed to protect humanity.

She then thinks of John, the Master Chief. How he was the one to manage to end the Covenant and save humanity.

Suddenly, her concentration was broken when a man entered the room by the sound of the door. She then looks at the man, curious about his appearance.

He holds a cigarette, already looks like it's about to be finished. The only noticeable thing she could see on him was his blue eyes. For some reason, they were glowing like a machine.

"Dr. Halsey. A pleasure to meet you." The man said with a smile, trying to get on her good side for the interrogation.

"You already know everything..." She replied, already knowing where this was going, wanting to be done with this as soon as possible.

The man then loses his smile, and gets serious about this. "Straight to the point? Very well, I'll play ball." He then takes a seat in front of the table in the room. "The children... you kidnapped them, why?"

Halsey kept a blank face, remembering what she had to do for Humanity.

"Children's minds are more easily accepting of indoctrination. Their bodies more are adaptable to augmentation. The result was the ultimate soldier. And because of our success, when the Covenant invaded, we were ready."

The strange man can understand that part, but doesn't understand one thing.

"Dr. Halsey, you're bending history to your own favor and you know it. You developed the Spartans to crush human rebellion, not to fight the Covenant." He replied calmly, while throwing away the cigarette.

"When one human world after another fell... When my Spartans were all that stood between humanity and extinction, nobody was concerned about why they were originally built."

"So you feel that, in the end, your choices were justified."

She then gave a serious look at the strange man.

"...My work saved the human race."

The man then gets up from his seat and grabs out a data pad, seeing if he can still get anything out of her from the program, and his true intentions on this interrogation.
