Dream PoV:
Dream was sitting in a room with Xisuma. They were talking about where he came from and how he could get back. After trying some more things out with his coder, he had to admit: he had no clue how to get back, as he had never left his world before. In fact, there were few people on hermitcraft who originated from somewhere else. There was Grian, who originated from a world called Evo smp, which he had accidentally left and decided to stay here, and Gem, who knew how to open a portal to a world called Empires smp. It wasn't as well-known on the dream smp where people came from, as it often took them weeks to meet other people for the first time. They also preferred to keep their background private for the most part. Yet, most people were pretty certain that Phil and Ranboo originated from a different world- Phil because of his wings that no one else had, and Ranboo because of his Enderwalk during which he spoke a different, unknown language.

"Dream?" Dream snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Xisuma, who he had been successfully ignoring. He felt ashamed, as the admin was trying to help him and his friends and he hadn't paid attention to him. "Sorry, I- wasn't listening. Could you please repeat what you said?", Dream asked, grateful for his mask to cover up his shame. "I asked you if I could take a look at your coder. It should be similar to mine, shouldn't it? I've never travelled between worlds myself, yet I think it might be helpful to compare them and see, if there's maybe something broken inside." Dream nodded and handed his coder over to the other admin.

Dream didn't easily trust other people- it often took weeks for someone to get to know him even a little better. He had known his closest friends George, Sapnap and Bad, who were all still in his home world, for many years, yet he had a strange sense of respect towards Xisuma. The admin didn't seem to lead his world by force, more by living amongst the people, not taking advantage of his powers in any way except to keep the world running smoothly. But still, he seemed confident and had some sort of power aura, clearly showing that he was the admin. As Dream watched the hermit carefully opening his coder, he was for some reason convinced that Xisuma wouldn't do anything bad with it. It scared him a little, how a person he didn't know at all was able to gain his trust so quickly.

"Your coder seems to be fine, from what I can tell. It's pretty similar to mine, there are actually only minor differences. I think that's simply since you're from a different world though.", Xisuma said as he closed it again and handed it over to Dream. The latter was surprised at how quickly the other admin had done that, and asked: "Have you compared coders before? You seem like you know your stuff in that area." Xisuma chuckled and responded: "No, that was my first time ever seeing another coder anyhow. They're not that complicated if you understand what they're supposed to do. They are also kinda similar to redstone actually, and I know that decently, so that definetly helped. Have you had anything like this happen before?" Dream denied, and added that he didn't even know that there were other universes.

Through Xisumas visor, he could see the surprise on his face, and felt as if he was missing some serious knowledge. The other slightly shook his head and stood up. "Anyways, I don't think there's anything we can do right now to get you back to your world. At least if you don't have other ideas? No? Okay. I think it would be best for you and your friends to stay here with me for now. I have plenty of room in the other tower, I can quickly install like four bedrooms. Is that okay for you?" Dream stood up as well and answered: "That would be perfect, thank you. Also, if Tommy does something he's not supposed to, just tell me and I'll take care of him."

(Okay so in this AU Xisuma lives in a base that has two tall towers, one in which they just talked and the second where the Dsmp members will "live" for now.... It'll be important later (somewhen))

Xisuma PoV:

Xisuma entered his meeting room, where the Dream smp members had waited for him and Dream to finish talking. Grian and Zedaph were also there, as he had asked them not to leave yet. He saw Tommy and Tubbo in a heated discussion about something and Ranboo watching them. Next to them, Phil was chatting with Grian and Zedaph about wings. In the corner that was the furthest away from everyone else, Technoblade was watching everyone and looked up the first as the two admins entered the room. They walked over to the adults, and Techno came over as well. "Did you find a way to get us back?", Phil asked. Dream shook his head, and Xisuma replied: "No. Neither of us have ever travelled between worlds, so we'll have to try some things out. However, that's gonna take us a while, so if you don't mind, would you like to stay in my other tower? I should have enough room for four bedrooms, so if some of you could share a room, that would be appreciated."

Phil nodded and seemed relieved that they had a place to stay: "That would be perfect. Tommy and Tubbo can share a room, and I can take one with Techno, if that's okay with you?" He turned to the pink-haired man, who nodded without taking his eyes from the teenagers, who were still fighting over something Xisuma didn't listen to. Dream said: "Great, are we gonna go now?" As the other admin nodded, he turned around to the teenagers and yelled: "Tubbo! Tommy! Stop fighting and get over here, we're going to the other tower where we're gonna stay for now." Tommy looked at him annoyed and answered: "What, you can't get us back? And you call yourself an admin? I could do that better then- hey!" He was cut off by Tubbo punching him and Techno glaring at him with clear annoyance.

As they then started walking towards the other tower, Xisuma thought about them. Dream seemed to be someone who ruled their world with respect, and yet he still seemed to want the best for his people. He didn't know much about Phil and Techno yet, although they both seemed like mature adults who he should be able to talk to logically. Tommy and Tubbo confused him a little- they seemed to always fight and never get along, yet they were still friends in some way. He knew the fewest about Ranboo. He had talked very little, and seemed to prefer listening over talking. Xisuma assumed that he was friends with the teenagers, since he always stayed near them. He didn't seem like an adult, yet Phil had talked to him in the same way he talked to Dream, so he was most likely mature.

Then Xisuma noticed that Grian had caught up with him. The hermit lowered his voice and asked: "Do you trust them?" The admin thought for a second before he answered: "I trust that Dream wants to get back to his world as soon as possible. I also don't think any of them want to harm our world. Do you think differently?" Grian stared into the air in front of them for a couple of seconds, before he responded carefully: "I'm... unsure. I don't think that the rift happened for no reason, and no one from hermitcraft would've opened it. I don't think Dream knows what happened though, but it can't be simply some sort of glitch, right? The rift did corrupt me in some way..." Xisuma nodded and said that he couldn't be sure now, and that they would have to wait and see how everything would play out first.

With these words, they reached the tower. It only took Xisuma a couple of minutes to install some beds and other bedroom stuff into the room, and the smp'ers then moved into the rooms. They also had a living room, two bathrooms and a kitchen, just so they could take care of themselves. Grian said his goodbyes and flew off towards his rocks, as he wanted to check if they were still floating. Zedaph pulled Xisuma aside before he could leave and asked: "Are you okay?" The admin could see the actual worry in his friends eyes, although he didn't quite understand what for. "Yes, I'm fine, why are you asking?" "What do you mean why am I asking, the rift exploded next to you! And- and you fell like 100 blocks! I- I thoughts you were dead!" Xisuma felt his heart warm up as he realized how much Zedaph cared about him. "I'm unsure how I survived the fall, it was as if the rift was pulling me to come to it, maybe it had something to do with that? I don't know. I also immediately blacked out when it exploded, so I can't tell you what happened there I'm afraid." Zedaph looked like he wanted to respond but thought otherwise, and simply stepped in front of his friend and hugged him.

Alright, I hope you enjoyed reading the second chapter of this story! This one was a little shorter (1598 words), simply because I didn't have a lot of motivation but felt like I needed to get a chapter out, I promise next one will be longer! As always, thank you for reading, constructive criticism or ideas are always appreciated!
