𝐈 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐋!
today was actually going pretty good.
adam hadn't annoyed me once today, but chuck did.
"alright everyone, get our your books!" the teacher ordered.
i pulled the book out of my backpack, and positioned it in a way where the teacher wouldn't be able to see my phone.
unfortunately, adam sat right next to me.
"can i borrow a pencil?" he whispered, leaning over.
i leaned closer, whispering back. "no."
"but you have one right there."
"i know."
"then why can't i borrow it?"
"because i don't like you."
"so i can't borrow it?"
"no."
"oh. okay."
he waited for a moment, before leaning over again.
"can i borrow it now?" he asked.
"no, smelly, you can't. sit your unwashed ass back down right now." i watched his eyes, that were trained on the pencil.
"but i need it."
"that sucks."
he snatched it off of my desk, and tried to replicate the twirl i had been doing.
it fell to the ground, and he instantly picked it up before i could.
i glared.
the teacher walked down the aisles, placing tests on everyone's desk.
"cherry. what did i say?" the woman asked, gently placing a test on my desk.
"what?" i asked.
"just.. be nice to adam, okay?" she said, with a sigh.
she continued down the aisles.
"yeah, be nice to me." he said, waving the pencil in my face.
i took it, and snapped it in half.
if i couldn't use, he wouldn't, either.
but now i had one less pencil.
"hey!" he whined.
i stared at my test.
my pencil scribbled across the pristine white paper, and i struggled to remember the date.
