Eyes look older than they should

(BLM poem)
Shot down for my skin
Perspective dishonourable and eroded
Police bout sketchy
As wolves in sheepskin
They hunt us in the streets
Killin us within our sheets
Breonna Taylor
No justice No peace
Neck and Knee
Beastly and brutal it was
He couldn't BREATHE "officer"
George Floyd
You get no R-E-S-P-E-C-T from me
NO JUSTICE NO PEACE
TAKE TO THE STREETS
Hear us, we shouldn't have to repeat
You mistreat us
Yet want us
No not us, OUR CULTURE
We will take to the streets
We will NOT RETREAT
Children in the backseat
Eyes haunted by what they've seen
Memory assaulted by daunting displays
CHILDREN ARE IN THE BACKSEAT
Of their father bleeding
Seven shots to the back
Now the kids need help
Professional help
Jacob Blake
The movement continues
No justice No peace
My eyes look older than they should
Our eyes look older than they should
