Archons, you missed this.

You missed flinging on your Fatui uniform fast enough before Ajax could, sprinting down to the training grounds as the two of you shoved each other playfully through the corridors, ignoring the weird looks you got from the other Fatui members, laughing a little too loudly.

Your Cryo Vision dangled still from your hips, swinging back and forth as you run outside and into the dome that is the training grounds.

You exhale exasperatedly, looking around and laughing.

"This is so nostalgic..."

"Isn't it?"

Ajax is grinning from ear to ear, hands on his hips.

"So, what do you propose? I believe you've outgrown measly training dummies?" he says, waggling his tongue at you.

"I defeated an ancient sea monster you summoned. I clean up after your messes."

He nods affirmatively, pressing his lips together.

"That's right."

"Great! So, now could I show you my skills?"

"That's what we're here to do...but what are you gonna show off on?"

You rolled your eyes a little and gestured to Ajax's figure.

"I mean there's a full fledged killing machine right in front of me...don't suppose I could use that?"

"Oh ho?" he says, smiling. "A duel? Mm, say less, sweetheart..."

From behind, he summoned his polearm.

You remember the last time you duelled, and how you had almost died to that huge whale.

You tentatively draw your sword.

"Ready?"

"Set!"

"GO!"

Childe switches to his bow, and starts shooting at you.

You deflected each of them with your sword, ducking and dodging as you go.

"Agility? Still top notch, I see. What about...stamina?".

He charges at you with his dual daggers infused with Hydro.

You tuck and roll from underneath his legs, ending up behind him, and dealing an icy blow to his back.

"Argh! Wasn't...expecting that one.".

He smirks and and brings out his polearm again.

"You've even gotten better than the last time I saw you...huh?"

He had turned around, but alas...

You were nowhere to be found across the entire field.

"To pieces!"

You again surprised him, sending a shivering sheet of ice towards him, freezing his polearm.

"Damn it, that's cold. You- oh...".

His hand was frozen, stuck to his polearm.

"Well, in that case...it's good that I've recently learned to use a bow with one hand!!!".

You stood deadpanned.

"You what-"

"A Harbinger has to prepare for the worse! Riptide!"

He summoned his bow with one hand.

It was bigger, and bright blue, unlike his usual one.

"Woahh!!" You stood amazed.
