You were sitting in Colonel Mustang's office with your feet up on his desk. Mustang himself was sitting across from you, having called you into his office on "very important business". "What do you want?" You asked cheekily. Mustang ignored the jibe and smiled softly, handing you a piece of paper. "Read the information on this paper and go to that coffee shop," he said, "and that person will explain the rest to you."
You took the paper from Mustang, flicking your (h/l) (h/c) hair out of your (e/c) eyes. "What're you up to?" You asked suspiciously. "Nothing," he said with another annoying smile. You raised one of your eyebrows. "Seriously?" You asked, "What's that smile for, then?"
Mustang stood up and propelled you to the door. "Just go, (y/n)." You turned around for a parting jab but was met with a door in the face as the Colonel locked you out of his office. You stood looking down at the paper for a second, then punched the closed door halfheartedly, yelling, "And how am I supposed to read your chicken scratch?" Not getting an answer, you turned and headed down the hall, muttering under your breath. (A/N: his handwriting isn't that bad, but it's not good either)
You got outside and glanced down at the paper, shielding your eyes from the sun. After a moment, you headed off down the street in search of the coffee shop.
A few minutes later, you were standing across the street from the coffee shop, looking for the person you were supposed to meet. Scanning the crowd passing by the door of the shop, you saw a short boy with long blond hair standing close to the door. He looked a little nervous, and was messing with something in his pocket. You looked down at your trusty piece of paper, then back up to make doubly sure.
'Is that who I'm supposed to meet? This could say anything,' you thought. You shrugged and headed across the street.
"Hey, can you help me decode this?" You called to the boy, waving the paper slightly. The kid turned around, a slightly annoyed expression on his face. "I'm supposed to be waiting for someone," he said bluntly. "Okay, but it'll only take a few minutes!" You wheedled.
The boy rolled his golden eyes as he said, "Sure. But if I miss the person I'm waiting for..." And mumbled vague threats under his breath. "Um... Let's go inside," you said, walking in. The boy followed you in, glancing behind him as he went.
