Right when the bell sounded, Kat dashed out of school like a bat out of hell to her car. She ignored the whispers and sideways glances. Expertly avoiding any letterman jackets she may have come across on the way to her car. She wasn't taking any chances. There had to be backlash coming her way for what she did to Jason. Today wasn't the day she would test those waters. As soon as she got into her mustang, she flew outta there.

She was able to relax a bit once she was far enough away from the school. Mr. Crowley was blaring from her speakers. Casting a quick glance out the passenger window taking in her surroundings on the drive home, the movies she rented last week caught her eye. Not wanting to go home yet, she figured she'd make the drive over to return them. She was still too worked up from today's events. This way she would have a movie to distract herself from her thoughts tonight.

Kat entered the video store, which thankfully was dead. She greeted Steve as she wandered over to the horror section. Reading the back of a random movie she grabbed, she heard the door open and Robin bursted in.

"Steve! You are NEVER going to believe what I witnessed today."

"And that would be..."

"Okay so you know that Eddie Munson kid that-"

"Runs that D&D club that Dustin will NOT shut up about?"

"Someone's bitter, but yeah, him. So he was messing with Jason. And I guess whatever was happening there– You know how I told you Kat ended up sitting with them? Whatever happened, she lost it in the BEST way. It was amazing. It really is a shame you missed it and had to graduate last year. Like, I'm still in shock."

"Yeah well, I graduated on time unlike 'Eddie,'" Steve interjected, rolling his eyes as he said Eddie's name. Kat had settled on a movie at this point, but was entertained by Robin's account of her antics, happy someone appreciated her performance.

"No, no. Steve you don't understand–"

"Hey Kat, you finding everything okay over there?" Steve called over, alerting Robin to the fact that she was actually in the store too. Robin's eyes widened and she began to harshly whisper.

"Why didn't you tell me she was in here?!"

"You didn't really give me a chance to jump in there."

"No, but you jumped in to talk about Dustin's new friend." Robin rolled her eyes. Kat came over to the counter having settled on Tenebrae. She was surprised a movie like that was at the local Hawkins Family Video, but it was one she'd been meaning to watch for a while now.

"Kat, that was rad what you did today. Did you see the look on Jason's face?!" Robin said excitedly, directing her compliments over to Kat directly. Kat couldn't help but smile. She did find Robin entertaining.

"Okay, can someone actually fill me in on what happened?" Steve asked, throwing one hand up in confusion.

"Oh my god, yes, please, now that I know you're here Kat. Tell him. I don't even know what started that at your table. I'm dying to know. It really was a beautiful thing to see. Jason needs his ass kicked, I swear." Robin gushed.

Kat couldn't help but chuckle. Out of all the people she had to interact with at Hawkins, she really didn't mind the Family Video duo. "Eddie was wearing the same shirt as me. I haven't had the heart to tell Chrissy I didn't want to sit with her group of friends. I mean, she's been surprisingly nice to me? I don't know if that's just how she is. But any way, Sara – you know the really ditzy one – asked me about my shirt as if she actually cared? I mean look at it." Kat pointed to the seemingly demonic figure on it. "Like I get it, they've known Eddie. I know next to nothing about him. But they're gonna name call him and then bat their eyelashes at me? No. I wasn't dealing with the double standard. So, to fill you in, Steve, I got up on the lunch table, walked over to Jason, and stepped on his lunch while calling him and basically everyone at that table out for it." Kat shrugged like it was no big deal so had essentially given Hawkins biggest, and most popular, bully a taste of his own medicine. Steve just shook his head in shock.
