Siren ✅️

Chan's pov

It was a sunny day so a good weather to do my job

I worked as lifeguard on the beach and I really like my job

Help people when they are in danger, the place

Girls were flirting with me, asking me for my number or they gave their number to me and not only the girls did but also the boys did

I just winked at them, I have to stay professional

Currently I was at the lifeguard tower scanning the beach if there were problems

But today it was a bit quiet

"Maybe too quiet" I suddenly heard felix's voice, my colleague

Felix stood beside me

"Yeah maybe too quiet" I said

"I go check around" I said

"Sure, I will wait here" Felix said

Few minutes later

After I went to check around the beach if someone needed help, there was only one little girl who lost her parents but we found them after a few minutes

So yeah

I saw a elderly woman telling a story to children

I went closer to them and listening to what she said

"Sirens are beautiful yet dangerous creatures, they live deep in the oceans " the elderly woman said

"Why are they dangerous?" One child asked

"Because their voices" the elderly woman said

Some of children were giggling

"Voices?" A girl chuckled

"Yes, their singing is enchanting and the one who's got enchanted,They become obsessed with the siren and their song. They start hallucinating about the siren

And the end they will go to ocean to hear song and see siren but they don't know they are close to their death" the elderly woman said

All of the children were quite

"Did you know there was once here a siren"

All of them shook their heads

"A really long time a ago, there was a sailor who spotted a siren on a rock who was singing their song and-" the elderly woman  got cut off by a boy

"What happened to the sailor, did the siren enchant him?" The boy asked

"The sailor got enchanted by siren, the siren leads him to rocks..." the elderly woman stops

"What happened?" A girl asked worried

"The sailor came close to siren, maybe too close. The sailor crashes against the rocks"

"Did he die?" A girl asked

"A few days later the sailor was found on this beach"

"Who saved the sailor?" A boy asked

"The siren saved the sailor.. Well he believed"

All of the children sighed of relieve

"But why did the siren save the sailor"   a girl asked

"Nobody knows" the elderly woman said

The children thanked the woman for telling the story and they went went back to play or to their parents

She looks to my direction and smiles

I smile back to her and went to talk

"What actually happened with the sailor? Did the people believe him?" I asked out curiosity

"Sadly no instead people called him insane about the whole woman singing. He went back to ocean where he spotted the siren..." the elderly woman stops

She sighed

"He didn't find the siren and he went back. Not many years later he took his own life because he became obsessed with the siren" she said

"Do you think Sirens still alive?" I asked

"Please don't call me weird but yes I do" she said

I nodded

"You?" She asked

"I don't know, I have never seen or met one" I said

"Maybe one day" she smiled

I smiled back

We said goodbye and I left

Later the evening

I came back home after a long shift and nothing happened so it was kinda bored

I went to the kitchen to eat

I still have leftovers from yesterday

Few minutes later

I sat outside on the balcony of my beach house

I eat my food and have the most beautiful view

I wondered if the Sirens are real because most people say don't go to far or don't listen to their voices

Later the evening

I went to bed after doing my night routine

I lay on my bed and closed my eyes

Fell asleep

01.00 AM, midnight

I turned around and around and around. I couldn't sleep so got up and left my bedroom to go downstairs

When I came downstairs, I went to kitchen to get a glass of water

Suddenly I heard noises from outside so I left my glass on the kitchen counter and went to check outside what for noise that was

When I was outside

Aahh~

"What's that noise?" I thought and I looked around but I couldn't see anything because it was foggy

But then I saw something sitting on  a rock

Aahh aahh~

Oh my

It's a siren!?

I tried to look closer but I couldn't reach it so I went inside to get my binocular

I looked to through the binocular and I couldn't believe what I saw

A beautiful boy was sitting on the rock

Long grey tail, long blonde hair, toned abs, gills by his neck, and scales on his body

It was a siren

The binocular almost slipped out my hands

You will follow me

And his voice.. damn

Deep in the ocean

I know I shouldn't listen to him but the temptation was high

Then the siren turned around and looked straight into my eyes

But within a second

It was gone, the siren disappeared in water
