I was currently sitting on the bleachers watching my best friend Spencer catch the football before being tackled, but he quickly got right back up and I sighed in relief. Spencer flipped over in the end zone causing me to scream for joy and clap my hands "That's my brother!" I yelled in excitement before rushing down to the field and tackled Spencer with a hug "Good job friend" I say before we heard gun shots throughout the field and Spencer held a protective arm around me and pulled me down
The game was over and Spencer and I were now walking past the ambulance I turned away at the sight of the body and Spencer just hugged me, a few seconds later and I pull away and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in
"Spencer and Rosalia James" A man called out causing me and Spence to turn around only to see a dark skin man walking up to us with a smirk on his face "My bad didn't mean to startle you both" The man apologized walking closer to us "Geez it's, like, one minute your scoring, Then the next..." The man sighed crossing his arm "Another day in the neighborhood" Spencer and I say at the same time and the man nodded in agreement "I'm sorry but who are you" I say in confusion
"Billy Baker, Varsity coach, Beverly High" The dark man introduced sticking his hand out and Spencer shook it, before the man turned to me "You must be Miss Rosalia captain of the varsity cheer team and assistant coach of the team with a 4.9 GPA" Coach said impressed and I just smile letting my lavender braces and dimples show "Yes, that is me" I say and Spencer just smiles at me before the coach speaks up again
"Alright let me cut to the chase, I want Spencer to play for me, and I want you to cheer, I haven't seen talent like you guys in a long time" Coach said while looking at Spencer who then looks at me before turning back to the coach "But you can't recruit, I mean, I'm sorry those are the rules of the season" Spence points out with his hand at the back of his neck
"I assume you want to go pro?" Coach asked "Yes sir" Spence replied back proudly "Yeah, Well, I can make that happen" Coach said to Spencer and after that I just space out until Spencer is telling me lets go
Time skip
Me and Spence make it back to the house and the first thing I do is go to my room rip my clothes off and take a shower get out and get dressed for sleep, not that I would be getting any
