Chasing You

Slight prologue
This is based off of the Morgan Wallen song Chasing You.
The background of this story is about a high school couple that grew up in their small hometown. The girl, Brooke, left the town to pursue her dreams. The boy, Cody, stayed in the town and pursued his dream in music. Ever since Brooke left town Cody has been trying to reunited with her.
Ok now to the story!

I remember it like yesterday. Brooke was sitting in the bed of my Chevrolet. Her long hair being blown in the light wind. Her smile was contagious. We overlooked a beautiful lake.
"What are you waiting for Brooke? Lets go!" I yelled pulling off my shirt and running towards the lake.
"Hey wait for me!" Brooke yelled before she erupted in giggles.
That's one of my fond high school memories. That girl was my high school memories.
But those memories are the only thing I have left of her. As soon as she got out of high school she hit the road. I still remembered those goodbye taillights. But I knew exactly where she was going though. She always used to talk about L. A. I heard she only got as far as Santa Fe. I always tried to chase her down. But I only got as far as Guitar town. But now I'm only on her radio.
I've tried to find her. Just to see her beauty again. But who knows? Maybe she's married or even has children. In the end I will be chasing her, still chasing her.
