Stop chasing the endless horizon. Stop going after people who stopped caring about you. The birds have already formed their wide "V" in the sky, and they wont be coming back for a long time. Even when they come back, do they still care about you?
The answer is probably no. They probably stopped caring when they first formed their "V". After all birds mate for life, and you were none of their choices.
That is one thing i always loved about your small intricate mind, you always loved everybody you put yourself around, but as soon as the one you loved the most they packed up all of their love and took it along with them you were left wondering what you did and why you were left on this now deserted island with no mate. No one to care about, no one to live the rest of your days with. And you always, and probably will keep, blaming yourself. Telling yourself that they don't care because of you, you made them a terrible person, its your fault they don't care about you and they care about everyone else but you, because of you.
But now the winter months have came and you are frozen with the sorrows and remorse of loneliness. With no mate to call your own you call out to the birds forming the "V" above you. "What about me?" You cry. But in the end it didn't matter. They were moving on without you. Whether you were okay with it or not.
