CHAPTER 6: THE ARRIVAL

Nagising siya sa malakas na katok ng pinto. Daisy is calling her out. She lazily stood up and opened the door. Naghihikab pa siya sabay lugod ng kanyang mga mata through the back of her palm.

"Wow sarap ng tulog. I think three hours ka ng nakatulog. We have to take dinner. Someone cook for us." Hinila nito ang mga kamay niya papunta sa first floor. Napasunod lamang siya.

"Sarap kasi matulog. Napuyat ako sa script na ginawa ko kagabi. Tinatawagan na ako ng technical director. Alam mo na.."

She felt energize now. Mabuti na lang pala mahaba ang tulog niya at nakapagpahinga siya ng maayos. When she took a glance at the outside. Madilim na nga talaga.

"I thought nakaleave ka? Bakit kailangan ka pang magtrabaho? Naku naman... dapat whole month mong ini-enjoy ang leave mo." Daisy said. Naabutan niya si Adrech at ang magbestfriend sa kusina na sina Sui at Van. She greeted them 'hi'. At nagyaya naman agad ang mga ito na kumain. She noticed na wala ang karamihan dito sa hapag kainan.

"May tinatapos lang ako. Ilang statement na lang naman yon para sa ending ng Make Me Proud na movie. And then ..wala na. Isang gabing puyatan na lang."

Unupo siya sa mesa. Adrech handed her a plate.

"Sexy needs food." He's grinning. At marahan siyang natawa sa sinabi nito. Adrech began teasing her. Sexy huh? She remembered the specific person who used to call her that name. Napailing iling na lamang siya. She shook her head and start eating.

"Thank you. Walang cook pala dito sa villa?" Naitanong niya.

"Reeve didn't want to. Tayo daw ang magsikap na magluto dahil libre na daw lahat." Natatawang komento ni Adrech.

"Kumpleto naman ang ingredients and foods dito, so it's okay." Si Sui. Cook itong dalawang magbestfriend.

"Sabagay." Nakangiting sang-ayon niya.

"Who's casting that movie?" Daisy asked, trying to regain the topic.

" Si Elizabeth Gray." She anwered back. Hindi niya nakita si Romy, apat lang silang nandirito. "Hey, nasaan ang boyfriend mo?"

Kaswal niyang tanong habang nagbabalat ng hipon. Ang sarap ng seafoods.

"Sumama sa grupo, nagscuba diving. Who cooked this food? Ang sarap. As in masarap talaga." Si Daisy.

Nakatingin sila sa mga kalalakihan. Adrech grinned playfully. Hindi na talaga ito ang dating Aldrech na nerd guy. Malakas na ang sex appeal nito at malaki na ang mga muscles nito na animo'y babad sa workout. Daisy got puzzled. They knew everyone here that Aldrech was not a good cook. He always flopped at basic cooking. She frowned.

"Aldrech, their faces are unforgivable for staring at you like they heard the worst news in the world." Sui talked in his Chinese accent and laughed. Van laughed too, and they did. She just couldn't believe this guy cooked all o these delicious foods.

"Seriously Drech? You cooked all of these?" She asked in disbelief. He just only smirked. Oh, I have to admit that I was so impressed!

"I spent five years chef in Five Star Hotel in Singapore after I graduated in culinary arts. So I guess I was learning to cook very well." May pa-humble effect pa nitong sabi.

Daisy was speechless and kept her mouth full of the delicious food. She thumbs up to Aldrech and continued eating. Her best friend is really a food lover.
