Soyeon and Hongjoong don't like each other. They don't see eye to eye. They are rivals and competitive over each other. Soyeon a bit more than Hongjoong. He secretly likes her though but she doesn't feel the same. They still don't get on though. Hongjoong tries to get on with everyone but sometimes Soyeon makes it impossible. They got to know each other via their work. They work in the same office building via their job. They see each other five days a week as they sit close to each other at work. Some people get on with Soyeon and other people don't. She doesn't have a lot of friends from work. Hongjoong is one of those people who has mixed opinions on her. He doesn't know whether to like her or not. Maybe he will sometime in the future and she will too

Soyeon and Hongjoong are both working in the same office today doing their work. They sit near each other and do their work opposite each other. Hongjoong doesn't like the way that Soyeon stares too much sometimes. She just like looks at him. He knows they don't see eye to eye. Hongjoong arrives at work and lets himself into the building and goes to his desk. Soyeon hasn't arrived yet. She usually walks in late anyway. Sometimes fashionably late. A few minutes later Soyeon walks in and takes a seat at her desk not too far from Soyeon. Hongjoong tries not to look at her. Soyeon has very few friends at work for some reason. She sits down and Hongjoong glances over at me. "Hi" she says. "Morning" he said. She then looks back at her computer screen and continues doing what she is doing. Hongjoong does find Soyeon attractive despite not liking her at the same time. Soyeon and Hongjoong get on with work anyway and forget they were sitting near each other. They both get a productive nothing if work in

It's lunchtime and Soyeon and Hongjoong are taking their lunch break at the same time. Soyeon walks into the staff room to get her lunch and Hongjoong was already there microwaving his lunch. Soyeon gets hers out of the fridge. It was only the two of them in the staff room so it was a bit awkward. "All yours" Hongjoong said removing his lunch from the microwave. "Thanks" Soyeon replies. Hongjoong takes a seat in the staff room while Soyeon is getting her lunch ready. She sits the opposite side of the room to him and starts eating. Hongjoong's eyes drift over to her. He didn't really know what to say to her so he just came out with anything. "Soyeon" he said. "Yeah" she replies. "Ummmmm why don't we talk? I don't like this silence" Hongjoong said. "Well I'm trying to eat at the moment" Soyeon replies. "Sorry. I know you and me don't really get on but we should at least try to be civil with each other while at work. We work together, Noona" he said. "It's often you don't get on with everyone you meet anyway" Soyeon said. "I know. I guess that's true" he said. "Okay maybe we should be at least civil to each other" she said. The staff room door opens and one of their co workers walks in just as they were about to talk but they had to go back to work soon. Maybe Soyeon and Hongjoong will get on with each other in time

A few weeks later and Soyeon and Hongjoong have a works meal with their colleagues. The boss is taking them all out for dinner and celebrating their hard work as a team. They are both going. They've been talking more in the last few weeks but just simple things like small talk conversations. They still don't see eye to eye that much. They are getting ready at home for the meal which is soon. Both are glamming up and making the effort as their boss is taking them out. The team start to arrive. Soyeon and Hongjoong arrive and walk in at the same time. "Hey. Let me get the food for you" Hongjoong said opening the door for Soyeon like a gentleman. She smiles at him as they walk into the restaurant. Hongjoong was about to complement the way Soyeon looked but he didn't think she would like that. They take a seat opposite each other at the table with their colleagues. Everyone decides what they want and place in the order. Hongjoong's eyes drift over to Soyeon. She gave him a little smile. His heart was happy that Soyeon gave him a smile. Appetisers were served quick and main courses not long after so it was all good. Soyeon and Hongjoong go to the bathroom at a similar time. They bumped into each other on their way out. "Hey" Hongjoong said. "Hi" Soyeon said. "You know it's weird how we both went to the bathroom at the same time" he said. "Yeah I know right" she laughed. Soyeon had a few drinks by then. "You're funner when you've had a few drinks, Noona" Hongjoong said. "Okay am I but stop calling me Noona" Soyeon replies. "Why? You're older than me. Huh" he said. "Yeah but not that much" she laughs. "Noona, looks good on you. Haha" he laughs. "You flirting with me. Stop. Our work team is here" she said. "No I won't. Soyeon, Noona. It's about time you and me have a laugh and have some fun together you know" Hongjoong said. Soyeon laughed and rolled her eyes. They returned back to the table with their work colleagues

Soyeon and Hongjoong are being more pleasant with each other now. They are getting on better but they wouldn't say they are getting closer or developing anything. Hongjoong has always found Soyeon attractive but that's about it. No feelings just yet. The two of them are going to Subway near their work place today. Soyeon takes her lunch break 15 minutes before Hongjoong so she'll be there before him. Both of them haven't spoke to each other today as they've been busy with getting on with work. Soyeon arrives at Subway and gets her usual order and she gets a table by herself at the back. Hongjoong walks in not long after and he joins the line ordering what he wants. He is starving just like Soyeon was a few minutes ago. He gets his sub and sits with Soyeon. She was going to make away but she let him sit with him. "Hi" he said. "Hey" she says. "That's big. Are you gonna eat it all?" Soyeon said. "Of course I am. I'm a man. Want some?" Hongjoong said. "Haha" she laughs. "You never laugh. What's got into you?" he asks. "I don't know. It was just funny what you said" she laughs again. "So you find me funny?" Hongjoong asks. "Yeah actually I do" Soyeon replies. "Well thanks. I find you attractive" he said. "Okay but please don't flirt with me. We can laugh" she said. "Alright if that's what you want but I might have a little crush on you, Jeon Soyeon" Hongjoong said. "Really?" she smirks. "Yeah I don't know" he laughs. Soyeon and Hongjoong got on better when they were having their lunch together at Subway. He was trying to flirt with her a bit but not succeeding

Hongjoong wants to ask Soyeon out on a date but he's not too sure at the moment. He enjoyed grabbing lunch with her at Subway earlier on that day. He doesn't know wether asking her out on a date is the right thing to do. Maybe just as friends. They are both finishing for the day now so they will be crossing paths as they leave. Soyeon grabs her bag from her locker and goes out of the building. Hongjoong follows on behind her. "Noona" he said. "Oh it's you. Will you please stop calling me that?" Soyeon replies. "Sorry. What you up to tonight?" Hongjoong asks. "Nothing just making dinner for myself and chilling. Why?" she replies. "No no reason" he replies. "Okay just wondered why you asked" she said. "Soyeon" Hongjoong said. She went silent and didn't say anything. "I think we are definitely getting on better. Maybe we should become friends. I know we didn't we eye to eye at first when we both first came here but I can tell you're a warmer person now. There is maybe even something between us. Like I'm just asking you out or anything. Maybe kinda" Hongjoong said. Soyeon didn't kind what to say for a minute. "Yes I do have to agree there, Joong. I thought you were a naive jerk when I first met you. I didn't even want to get to know you but then again it happened. You're a nice guy even though you do annoy me sometimes especially when you call me Noona. Don't ever call me that again. Yes we are friends. Maybe even more one day in the future" Soyeon said. Hongjoong was smiling earlier. "Like I said earlier. I do find you attractive, Jeon Soyeon. Very attractive actually" he said. "So you're flirting with me again?" she asks. "Yes maybe" he said. Soyeon stands closer to Hongjoong and pulls him in and kisses him. "That's for flirting with me. I'm doing it back" she said. Hongjoong was speechless for a couple of minutes. "So you don't find me a naive jerk and annoying anymore?" he asks. "Only when you call me Noona" she said. "Okay, Noona" Hongjoong laughs. "I wish I never would have kissed you" Soyeon said. "See you're not so bad now once I've got to know you. Thought you were a cold hearted bitch at first" he said. "Excuse me. I won't kiss you again" she said. "Well I don't think that anymore" he said. "You're alright, Kim Hongjoong. I enjoyed that kiss" Soyeon said. "You are too, Jeon Soyeon. I can see you as my girlfriend in time but just friends for now" Hongjoong said. "Yeah just friends for now" she said. They look at each other and Hongjoong pulls Soyeon in for a hug and it all begins from there. Despite hating each other and not getting on, they have gone to liking each other and kissing each other. See they worked it out

A/ N: yes I do ship Soyeon and Hongjoong. Thought I'd do a different kind of imagine where they are rivals and don't like each other. Had a happy ending of course. ATEEZ comeback soon so can't wait. Didn't realise it was almost a month since I updated this book
