Y/N POV
Me , Steve , Eddie , Jeff , and Allen were setting up Steves house for Gareths birthday party. The boys were setting up the room while I was baking his cake.
I didn't know what cake he wanted so I did a chocolate cake and vanilla cake. I did a pattern of the layers. It went chocolate vanilla and chocolate again I kept doing it until it was at the height I wanted.
I heard the boys talking about how this was unusual for him since he never agrees to celebrating his birthday and that they think I changed him into wanting to celebrate since I was the one who came up with the idea of celebrating it.
We all got set up for the birthday and invited everybody over.
Everybody sat on the couch waiting for the party to start. Me and Eddie went to go pick up Gareth to bring him to Steve's house.
Gareths POV
I waited for Eddie to get to my house. He said that Steve was hosting a pool party and invited everybody to it. I don't think anybody knew that today was my birthday. Well it's fine because I really don't care and it's just a stupid little birthday.
I saw Eddies van pull into my driveway. I walked towards his van and got in the back.
I saw Y/N already in the van so I sat next to them. They started smiling at me. I didn't know what she was smiling for so I just smiled back.
"What are you so smiley about" I asked
"Can I not be happy to be around my boyfriend?" They asked sarcastically and grabbed my hand. I looked at her hand grabbing mine.
(Got to Steve's house agian)
I got out of the van holding the door open for Y/N to get out.
"Thank you babe" they said
"Mhm" I responded
I closed he door back and walked into Steve's house. The room was dark so I turned on the lights.
"SUPRISE!" Everybody yelled and jumped up from hiding
I looked around and saw Y/N smiling again.
I walked towards them and just looked down at them.
"So that's what you were smiling about?" I asked them
"Maybe..." they said smirking
They looked behind me and I was confused what they were looking at so I turned around
I was greeted with a cupcake to the face by Jeff.
"JEFF!!" I yelled at him as he ran away
I heard Y/N laugh and felt them grab my hand. They walked me up to the bathroom and grabbed a wash cloth. They made the washcloth wet and started to wipe off the frosting and bits of cupcake off my face. They looked at my hair and sighed. They then had to get it out of my hair.
"Thanks" I said
"Your welcome" they said
We walked downstairs and started eating cake. It was really good I wonder who made it.
We got done with eating and headed out to Steve's pool.
We played music and swam around.
