Gradually, the skies began to bleed. She took a deep breath and started playing. Slowly, a crowd began to form around little Clementine. The witch was there too hovering on her broom behind a chimney. The people did not cheer nor clapped, even after she finished playing, they just stood there in awe. 



Then, one by one, the audience's faces fell on the ground like discarded theatre masks

Then, one by one, the audience's faces fell on the ground like discarded theatre masks. Just like the girl, everyone had blank faces. The witch's words echoed into her head.

"They'll be most certainly terrified, but it won't last long, for they will all have the same face as yours."

She turned to the witch who to her surprise whose face was also blank. The witch flew and stood beside Clementine.

The witch reminded her of an old legend, a tale her mother also used to tell as she tuck her to bed.
