3rd person POV:
Max is driving to the starcourt mall with El in the passenger seat. They arrive at the mall and step out. El stares at the mall in awe. "It's so big" El said "yeah, come on let's go inside" max tells El while taking her hand again and running inside. "So what do you want to do first?" Max asked, "idk" replied El still in awe at how big the place is. "Oo I know let's go to the Gap, they have awesome clothes I'm sure you'd like them" Max said in excitement, "but...I don't have any money" El replied in a sad tone, "no worries I'll pay I don't mind". El smiled and Max took her to the gap.
Max' POV:
I am in the mall with the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. I get butterflies each time I hold her soft hand, could i be falling for her? No that's impossible, I already know I'm a lesbian but i just met El.
I look over at her and find her smiling at me which makes my cheeks heat up and i look down embarrassed.
We go inside the gap and I pick out a pair of shorts and a shirt and ask an employee where the fitting room is and she leads me to it. "I'm gonna go change pick out whatever outfit you want and change into it okay?" I told El with a smile. She nods and I go in the changing room and try on my clothes.
I walk out and I see El in some jean shorts with a cute crop top. I gasp "El you look gorgeous" I said "you should definitely buy it" I continued. El smiles at me and says "you think so? I kinda think I look bad in this" she then looks down. I put my hand on her face and caress her cheek trying to comfort her, "you look gorgeous El don't let yourself think otherwise" I say while smiling at her encouraging her to buy it.
She smiles and nods. She walks back into the changing room and changes into her normal clothes and I do the same. After we pay I turn to el and ask her "do you want to get ice cream? There's an ice cream shop a few stores down and the ppl that work there know me." She nods and we go to Scoops Ahoy.
El's POV:
Max is so beautiful with her shiny red hair and her ocean blue eyes that make me blush each time I look into them. I might have a crush on her even tho we just met today. I've been lesbian for a year now but I've never crushed so hard on a girl like I am crushing on Max right now. I wonder if she likes me back.
She takes me to the ice cream store where we are greeted by a tall guy with long hair. "Ahoy ladies how are you doing today?" He says while smiling at us. "Hey Steve" Max said "this is my friend El, she just moved into town" she continued. I wave at him shyly. "Is Robin here?" Max asks. Right then and there a girl that looked about 5'8 with dirty blonde hair opened the door and gasped as she saw max. Max ran and hugged the mysterious girl as she giggled.
3rd person POV:
Max: "Steve Robin this is El, El these are Steve and Robin."
Robin: "hey nice to meet you."
El: "thanks you too." El said shyly.
Robin takes the scooper from Steve's hand and asks them what ice cream they want. She scoops the ice cream and hands the cone to them while motioning for them to go to the back with her.
Robin: "soooo...when'd you move here?" She asked El.
El: "last night." El said nervously
Max' POV:
I notice El is nervous so I take her hand in order to comfort her. "It's okay don't be nervous" I said while caressing her hand. She smiled and made me blush so I looked down in order to avoid being humiliated.
"are you two dating?" Robin asks. I snap at her in a friendly way "what! No! We're just friends" I said followed by a nervous laugh. I really wished me and el would be more then just friends but I didn't know if she was gay or not.
Robin must've noticed the look I make when I like someone. She knew I liked El but she didn't say anything.
We continue chatting for an hour or two when I speak up "this is fun and all but I really should get going" I said. Robin nods and I take El's hand again and we walk out. I turn to El "do you want to go home or come over to my house?" I ask her "I don't want to go home tonight. Can I stay over at yours?" She asks with her head down like she's about to cry. I lift her head up by her chin and look deep into her eyes, that's when I realize she's crying, I pull her close into a hug and rub her back gently "are you okay? Is someone giving you trouble in your house?" I ask in a worried tone. She doesn't respond and keeps crying.
I break the hug and wipe her tears. I take her to my house and we go to my room. luckily no one is home so I had the house all to myself for the weekend hopefully. I look over and notice El is still upset but then my phone buzzes. I pick it up and notice that Robin is calling me. I excuse myself and go on the balcony shutting the door behind me.
Max: "hello?"
Robin: "hey"
Max: "is everything okay?"
Robin: "yeah I just wanted to tell you that you should shoot your shot and ask El out."
Max: "but what if she doesn't like me and rejects me, that'll ruin our friendship."
Robin: "are you blind or something? Look at the way she looks at you, she likes you I can tell."
Max: "okay I will ask her out but if she rejects me you'll regret me ever telling me that."
Robin: "okay bye"
Max: "bye"
