"Xiu you haven't eaten anything"
Mrs Kang said as her fingers grazed through xiu's hair
Xiu couldn't bother much
Her bestfriend was sleeping peacefully
Sunghoon watched Xiu silently gaze at her bestfriends photo which was placed on top of the flowers
He smiled at Mrs Kang, reassuring her that he'd take care of Xiu
She wasn't at the right state of mind either
But Xiu was like her own daughter, having known her since kindergarten and always seen her daughter and Xiu hang out
Sunghoon tapped on her shoulder
"I'm sorry for causing you trouble"
Xiu started but was engulfed in a warm hug by sunghoon
Luckily it was only the two in the room
"You don't need to appologise"
Sunghoon said as he pats her head
Beads of tears fell on her cheek
"I miss her already"
Sunghoon felt guilty for not being able to help
all he could do was be there for her
they didn't know each other that well
Heck it had been only two days since they met

"Are you sure she's ok?"
Sunghoon nodded as he looked at Mrs kang's worried figure
"Dont worry maam, i promise to be there for her, I know how it feels to loose a loved one"
Mrs Kang only smiled at the young male infront of her
"Xiu's been through alot from ever since she was a child, Jing wasn't there for her most of the time because of her busy schedules so i took over the responsibility of raising her She's a really sweet and talented girl and sometimes i feel bad her own mother can't make it to her recitals"
"May i ask what her mother does?"
"She's a fencing coach, explains why her schedule is so tight as she coaches for national level atheletes"
"Ah, but xiu? wasn't she sad?"
"She was, i remember it was her first time on stage, she was only 8 then, two years since i met her, she ran up to me after her recital, asking where her mother was, she cried alot that day when she realised her mother didnt come, she worked so hard on the dance especially for her mom, but she never came Eventually, she did recitals all by herself, she'd often go to hangang park and go to her and her fathers favorite place and spend hours there speaking to her father"
Sunghoon couldn't imagine his parents not visiting his concerts or skating competitions
"She'd often ask this question"
"Which one?"
"Are you proud of me dad?"
Who knew the girl who seemed so happy and carefree had so much of heartaches?
