Holtzmann sat at her desk, her necklace in her hands and she was cleaning it, her yellow goggles perched on her mound of hair and Erin was sitting at her desk, typing on her laptop, focused.

'Hey Er.'

'Yeah babe?'

'So I know you wanted to go out to see a movie tonight, but I was wondering if you wanted to stay in? If that's okay?'

Erin looked up from her work, watching as Holtz clipped her necklace back on and she nodded.

'Yeah of course, are you feeling, okay?'

Holtz nodded and she stood up slowly from her desk.

'You sure?' Erin asked.

'Mmhmm.'

'We can just watch a movie here if you want?'

'Yeah,' Holtz replied, 'I'd like that.'

Erin smiled, looking back to her work.

'I'm just gonna go make a coffee, you want?'

'Yes, yes please.'

Holtzmann walked over to the woman, leaning over the laptop and Erin looked up, the blonde leaned further in, kissing her and Erin smiled as they parted. Holtzmann walked away, pausing at the door to look at Erin, the woman already looking back to her work.

The engineer was in awe every single day that she and Erin were together. Erin was her world and she loved giving her the silly, stupid, cheesy romance that she so adored. They still danced together, sometimes in the moonlight, sometimes just in the kitchen. They'd baked Erin's favourite apple muffins, and Holtz's favourite chocolate chip cookies. The secret cinema had been used numerous times and Holtz had gifted Erin with numerous bouquets of flowers, Erin doing the same for Holtz, but doughnut bouquets, which the blonde had devoured.

Abby and Patty would sometimes arrive at the Firehouse in the mornings to find the two women curled up on the couch, asleep together. Their team breakfasts and dinners out were now more regular, the other two women always sharing a smile as the other two canoodled in the corner of a booth or shared meals and kisses, they witnessed many shared kisses.

But there was one thing left that Holtz hadn't had the chance to properly prepare for, and she wanted it to be just right. Because Erin deserved for it to be just right.  And she needed it to be the silliest, cheesiest most romantic moment out of all the things she wanted to give Erin. It was something she had thought about almost daily since the physicist had given Holtz the list of silly romance from her book, the night they had first danced.

Holtz ran toward the Fire Holtzmann pole, launching herself at it and sliding down, skipping toward the kitchen.

Abby and Patty were sitting at the table, and both looked up at her. The blonde was grinning.

'So, I'm guessing you were able to cancel date night?' Patty said, chuckling and she rubbed her hands together.

Holtz scrunched her lips together and nodded.

'I sure did, annnnnnd it's going to start raining from about four this afternoon.'

Abby giggled like a little girl, 'We got you, we'll just keep an ear out, mmkay?'

'Easy done and thank you.'

The women both stood up from their seats and giving the younger woman a big hug.

Holtzmann bit her lip and turned to walk out of the kitchen and return to the lab, and she turned back quickly.

'Shit, I'm supposed to be making coffee.'
