Love is unexpected

CHAPTER FOUR: NEW DAY, NEW DRAMA

'Her hands were shifting from one place to another with the perfect leg placement along with some kids following her while their parents cheered on...' The alarm rang...Olivia's eyes opened. Ughh my dream was too good to be ruined. Nessa groaned, "Turn off your alarm!" Olivia turned on the snooze button and went back to sleep. All of a sudden, she heard loud rock music. She groaned, "Who is this ruining my sleep early in the morning?" Nessa said, "It's that Lucas who lives next door, we have complained so much to the school but they can't do anything." Olivia sat up and said, "Has anyone told him about it?" Vanessa opened her eyes and said, "No one has had the guts to speak to him." Suddenly, the loud rock music grew louder. Olivia was too disturbed by him now,  she wore her glasses (She didn't wear them on the first day for a nice approach)and said, "I'll speak to him." Nessa jumped out of the bed to stop her but Olivia was already gone, she didn't have the courage to go to her and stop her. 

Olivia knocked on the door, the music was too loud for him to hear. She even shouted but still, no response came. Instead, the music grew even louder, she lost her temper and tried opening the door. Lucky for her, it was open and she went inside although her ears were about to be deaf. He was sitting in a chair and his back was turned and he had his headphones on so shouting was of no use. Olivia tapped his shoulder three times until he stopped. He turned around and raised his eyebrows after seeing her. Olivia said angrily, "It's not even seven in the morning and you're blasting loud rock music!! Helloo, other people are sleeping as well." Lucas said, "Mhm, not my problem." Olivia's mouth opened and she was looking at him as if she was going to attack him. Lucas said, "Okay okay, I'll give you five minutes of nice sleep then I'll start again. Satisfied?" Olivia said, "No, you're going to stop all of this and play this in a sound-proof room. We literally have it in our school." Lucas stood up and walked towards her. Olivia wasn't a bit scared, "You think you can command me? Who do you think you are?" Olivia smiled, "You're guardian angel" Lucas looked at her and said, "Don't expect more than five minutes, you should be happy I even gave you a few minutes of peace because of your cute glasses." Olivia didn't know what expression to do, he was clearly flirting with her in spite of his act. She said, "I know my glasses are cute and as for you, better watch out, or your guitar might disappear." She smiled and went away.

Vanessa met her when she came back, "You went in your pajamas? Do you ever think he's gonna agree?" Olivia smiled, "He'll stop this noise, not today but one day he will." Olivia wore a cute and casual shirt with tights. It was her style of dressing. She loved doing hairstyles and braided her two front sides and made a bun. She still wanted to leave a good impression as it was her second day. She was about to offer Nessa on doing her hair but it was becoming late so they left it for the next day. Vanessa had to go run some tech issues so she went earlier (Vanessa was a professional at dealing with technology) Olivia decided to wear her glasses and left the room and locked it of course. Fate wasn't good with her and at the same time Lucas came out. They both gave each other a glance as both didn't want to go together. They headed to the elevator. It finally came after an awkward silence between these two. Unexpectedly, Lucas said, "You take the stairs, I'm going in the elevator." Olivia was stunned, "Excuse me, I will go in the elevator with you or without." She abruptly stopped it from closing and went in. She pressed the closing button before Lucas could say anything. After two floors, they reached and went separate ways to their academy.

Melvin saw them from afar coming out of the elevator and laughed when Lucas came, "No one has ever gotten in the same elevator as you. I'm telling you, she's good. I mean she's beautiful and exactly your rival. What if you fall in love?" Lucas looked at him in disgust, "Don't talk rubbish Melvin, I would rather go to another school than fall in love with her." Melvin laughed, "Alright, alright, you do you man." They met with the others while Olivia met Alyssa beside the main gate. She asked, "How was your sleep?" Olivia told her all that happened. Alyssa chuckled, "You are one of a kind." Olivia said, "Why should I be afraid of him just because he's some celebrity's son? Manners don't change depending on your fame." Alyssa said, "Girl, not just any celebrity, Jack Novine." Olivia's jaw dropped, "The famous Jack Novine? He has received the best dancer in the world award and he is my idol. Why is his son like this then?" Alyssa said, "Don't know, I heard rumors that his son did something bad and was banned from using his credit card so now he can just get food and necessities but you never know, rumors are rumors. By the way, I love your hairstyle. It's simple but suits you." Olivia thanked her and both went to class. 

After normal classes, it was break time so Olivia went to the cafeteria for lunch. She bought food and went to find Nessa or Alyssa but she didn't find any of them. Eventually, she came back to her table to eat her food. Suddenly, her mouth was too salty, she spitted it out. A group of girls started laughing, Olivia wanted to throw her tray at them just like in movies but she was too fed up and glared at them. She bought an apple and went to get ready for dance class. 

Suddenly, she saw the famous four bullying a guy. One thing Olivia couldn't stand was bullying, she went there and stood before the guy, she was facing Lucas eye to eye. Olivia said, "Leave him!" Lucas said, "You think you can order me? I challenge you right now for a dance battle. If you lose, you will be my assistant for six months." Olivia thought and said, "What if you lose?" Lucas said, "Confident you're gonna win? that's not gonna happen." Olivia said bravely, "If you do, you will quit bullying forever." Olivia was confident in the moves that her sister taught her, it was a tribute to her if she would win. They called the dance teacher to be the judge. At first, she was reluctant but then she was also curious to know who would win between two good dancers.

Olivia started with some leg moves and hand twisting, she ended with a head turn where her bun opened with style just like you see in movies. Although people saw it as slow-motion, it was pretty good. Then Chris came first and showed his movies, it was good. Olivia went again and then came Edward, Olivia was getting more confident as she saw their moves then went Melvin and Olivia again, and lastly was Lucas, his dance was hip-hop. It was smooth but sharp. After this ended, the audience wanted a duel between Lucas and Olivia as both were good and competitive. Olivia was nervous but determined at the same time, she did her hardest move ever; she jumped and did middle splits. It wasn't as up as it should have been but the audience was amused. Lucas did break dancing in the middle and finally, the duel ended. It was now time for the results...

All the students were requested to vote. After a while, the judge (dance teacher) went inside a room to count the votes while the famous four and Olivia were led to another. Olivia sat in a corner and just breathed to cool her anxiety. Melvin couldn't help but notice that he wanted to help her but he knew his friends wouldn't allow so he signed Olivia a meditation signal. Olivia didn't seem to look at first but after a while, she looked at him. He signed her a breathing action and showed her three fingers. 

Olivia put two and two together and breathed properly while counting to three and breathed out. Melvin smiled as he saw that her anxiety reduced.
