The next morning, It was a Sunday. Lucas got a call while he was asleep, he groaned. After a few seconds, he woke up and saw that it was his dad video calling. He panicked and quickly set the things around him.
He quickly arranged his hair and washed his face. He sat down on his bed and answered, "Hi dad, how are you?"
His father said, "You imbecile child, you don't have any shame in greeting me?"Lucas thought, "He scolds me when I don't but now he's scolding me because I did..? What is going on?"
His dad said, "Don't act innocent! are you ruining your plans for your love affairs?"
Lucas was confused..."What love affairs...? Wait dad what are you talking about..?"
He became angry and said, "Don't fool me, I found out that you have a love affair with a girl and I'm telling you, I don't want any distractions, you're a celebrity's son and you should act like it."
Lucas sighed, "Dad, I'm telling you I don't have any love affair, in fact I've never ever had one. Why aren't you believing your own son and accepting the rumors?"
Lucas saw that his dad was getting angrier than ever, "I still don't believe you...now I want to meet the girl before midnight."
Lucas hesitated, "But-dad, I don't have one, who do I even bring?? A mannequin?"
Unfortunately his dad already hanged up.
Lucas smacked his head, "Nooo, now how did he know find this rumor. I don't even hang out with anyone...Who could have told him...Where do I find a girl...?"
He dragged himself out of bed and was about to go to the bathroom when suddenly, he got a knock on his door.
Lucas was surprised to find Olivia, "Uhh hi..." she showed her toothbrush in front of his face, "Nessa and I ran out of toothpaste so would you put some for me?" Lucas looked at her and thought, "Hmm...she does have a pretty face and if we style her hair, I could take her and besides she would have to agree as she is my assistant." He smiled. Olivia looked confused, "So you're gonna give me or should I take it myself?" Lucas said, "W-what...oh toothpaste, yes let me put it for you." He brought it back and asked, "So uh Liv, what are you doing in the afternoon? It's a Jolly Sunday isn't it?" Olivia said, "Nothing much just setting the room and you know the usual." Lucas nervously said, "Would you help me on a certain mission?"
Olivia smiled, "Well I like adventures and missions so count me up!" He invited her inside and explained everything. Olivia denied at first but he left her with no choice, "Let's go shopping right now. My parents need top-high class." Olivia questioned, "Why don't you tell them the truth?" Lucas shook his head, "My dad will never believe me, if I don't bring anyone then he will assume that I'm lying to his face...
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Lucas opened it and saw a man who delivered a package from his mother, he quickly went to his bed and sat beside Olivia; he hesitantly opened the box and saw a long white floral dress, he said excitedly, "Yes, mom saves the day! Olivia, she sent a dress because she knows about my dad's personalities. You know, my mom saves me everything from getting into trouble. She's the best!" Olivia smiled, "I'm glad to hear that, good thing she chose it with her own taste because this dress looks amazing like it's simple and formal."
Lucas said, "Okay, quickly go to your room and change while I do as well and we meet back in my room alright?" Olivia replied, "Sounds good!"
She quickly went and changed while Vanessa just watched her move quickly to the bathroom and come out wearing a dress. She got ready quickly before Vanessa could ask questions because Olivia knew she didn't have time. She put a hair clip behind her hair and removed her glasses. But before she was about to go, Vanessa stood beside her and passed her lipgloss, "You can't go without it, can you?" Olivia smiled, "Thank you, I'll promise I'll explain everything when I get back. Bye." She knocked on the door and he opened it after a few seconds. He opened the door. Both of them started at each other. Olivia thought, "Is it just me but why does he look 10 times better with a suit on?" Lucas thought, "She looks like the prettiest girl in the world."
After a while, he interrupted, "Erm...come inside. By the way you look good.""Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself either."
"Wait, there's something missing." He made her stand in front of the mirror and examined what felt missing, "Ah, got it!" He removed the clip from her hair, it fell down like a bud turned into a flower. He straightened it with his hands and she could feel them going through her hair. Her heart was beating faster therefore her breathing was even becoming higher slowly by slowly.
He leaned closely to her face from the side, she kept looking at the mirror because her heart stopped.
He smirked, "Do you get nervous when I get close to you?"
Their eyes met...
Olivia gained the courage and started breathing, she could smell his cologne, "N-no, w-what do you mean-? W-why would I get nervous?" Suddenly she started hiccuping.
He raised his eyebrows, "Your hiccups say otherwise.." he checked his watch, "Now come on, we don't want to be late. My dad needs perfect punctuality!" Her hiccups finally stopped...
He grabbed her wrist but she gained some force and stopped him. He turned around, Olivia said, "Are you sure this is right...? What will your father think of me?"
Lucas smiled, "Come, I'll explain on the way, If you still think you shouldn't come then don't. Okay?" Olivia nodded.
They sat in his car, he said, "Look, I know this is wrong but trust me, I know my parents and If I don't bring a girl, god knows what he will do? Last time, he brought a whole police investigation team in school just to find evidence that I was lying. Please help me...okay to make it fair, I won't order you a lot as my assistant alright?" Olivia was silent and she thought about it for a while...he started driving. He closed the roof of his car and turned on the AC.
Olivia said, "Why did you turn on the AC?"
"I don't know, I thought you might felt warm and plus your hair might get ruined."
Olivia chuckled, "No, open it! The weather is too good for me to care about my hair problems!"
He glanced at her and opened it.
He said, "I'll help you, don't worry."Lucas smiled.
Olivia said, "Can I on some music?"
"Yes sure, but I don't have a disk. You can connect it from your phone. I'd like to see your taste."
Olivia already did it before he finished and they both vibed their way until they reached his home...
His father was there standing in front of the gate,Olivia noticed that he was sweating, "You nervous?"
"Yes, a little...I hope everything goes right."
He went out of the car and opened her door for her, Olivia thought this was the first and only time she would see Lucas acting as a gentleman. His father came, "So you didn't let me down, but you do have a girlfriend then, we need to talk about this. Who is she...?" Lucas thought, "What if Olivia gets insulted because of me...she left all her things just to help me, I can't see her cry because of me." He sighed and said, "Dad, I can't do this anymore..."
His dad arched his brows, "Do what?"
"Lie to you every single time..."
Olivia looked at him with a confused look and thought, "What is he doing?"
"Dad...I don't have a girlfriend, in fact, I've never had one. In all these years, I've just focused on my dance and nothing else, I just got so scared that you might do something like last time that I brought her and she agreed to help me after many difficulties."
He turned to Olivia, "Thank you."
His father started smilingly and said, "Finally!" Both of them just looked at each other.
He came and put his hand on his shoulder, "I've always wanted you to learn and tell me the truth and after many years, you did it!" He came to Olivia, "Thank you dear!" She smiled.
They went back home after a short conversation and they talked all the way until they reached the school.
