CHAPTER THIRTEEN: THE TRUTH

After that incident...neither Lucas nor Olivia could sleep at night...but soon, they both drifted off to sleep until...

Brrringgg! Brringgg!

The sound of the alarm clock rang...Olivia groaned, she said in a quavering voice, "It's too early to wake up!" And turned it off.

Nessa was up, she opened the window above Olivia's bed. She put her blanket on her face but Nessa snatched it off before she could hold them.

Olivia said, "I don't want to go to school today, let me sleep."

Nessa put her hands on her waist, "I don't want any excuses today, wake up or else I'll call our neighbors."

She instantly sat up and said in a gasped voice, "No!"

"Good girl now go get ready, school starts in 15 minutes."

"What!? It's so late!" She started running around and quickly removed her clothes from the cupboard, got ready and put her hair into a bun, it was messy but she thought it was the trends so no one would notice.

Olivia quickly went out and started locking the door.

Coincidently, Lucas also came out.

She stared at him and thought, "Are you serious? He had to be late too!!"

There was complete silence but only her keys clattering could be heard.

Lucas slowly walked through the corrider, his shoes could be heard making a 'creak sound'.
'Creak' 'creak' and there was a pause.

Olivia became stiff, she realized he was right behind her and said in a low-deep voice, "Nice bun."

Olivia rolled her eyes, she could see the smirk on his face as he walked to the elevator and thought, "Why did I have to do a messy bun today? Great! My day is off to a great start!"

She quickly ran to class almost managing to reach there seconds before the teacher did.

After a few hours, it was lunch time, she was so annoyed with him that she clattered the tray purposely but Lucas didn't like it at all. He hit the table hardly and threw the glass off the table, his face become red and he pointed at her, "STAY IN YOUR LIMITS! Who do you think you are?! You are MY assistant and you're supposed to serve me properly."

Olivia tried and said something but Lucas interrupted her, "Don't speak when I speak, next time you better do it correctly or else the deal's cancelled."

His friends took him and quickly stopped him from talking more. He left her speechless and she could see blood drippings from his hands staining the floor.

Olivia wanted to cry...she didn't want to see his face at all and he humiliated her in front of everyone. Suddenly, Alyssa came and hugged her, "Oh dear, are you okay?" She hugged her back tightly and cried silently, Alyssa slightly smirked but quickly changed her expressions.

Mimi, a girl from her class came to tell her that the principal was calling her. Olivia was scared but finally found courage and went.

Meanwhile, the boys took Lucas to the bathroom, he washed his face continuously and saw his face in the mirror. Suddenly, he lost control and hit the mirror with his fist, the boys were shocked, they didn't know what to do; Lucas was losing his control and his fist was bleeding plus the bruises from before. They feared that he might try and hurt somebody.

Olivia was half scared and nervously knocked on the door, the principal was glued to the computer, he signed her to come in. She came and sat down..."Look, I can explain." He put his hand in front of her face and signed her to stop. Finally, after many minutes later he turned his computer off.
