The Ups and Downs of life - Steddie <3

C H A P T E R - N I N E

   Once they made it to The War Zone, and got into a more hidden spot Steve went to wake up Robin and Dustin. "Hey we're here guy's." Steve said. "What? Oh okay." Robin said while stretching. "I think you should stay here with Eddie, and help keep a lookout you too Lucas." Steve says to Dustin and Lucas. "Okay, but y'all hurry we'd probably lose a fight against someone that just bought a shit ton of weapons." Dustin points out. "Okay." Steve agrees as him, Max, Robin, Nancy, and Ericka all head inside.

Eddie sits behind the driver seat. His hands were shaking like crazy. Now that he was in the silence all he think about is all the shit that has happened in the range of a couple days. "What the hell is taking them so long." Dustin says. Then almost immediately the door swing opens. "What happened?" Lucas asks. "We gotta go." Steve says while throwing Eddie's jacket to him then rushing to the driver's seat. Eddie gets up, and sits in the passenger. Slouching down so no one can see his face. "Your old friends are here!" Ericka says while getting in the rv. "Shit!" Lucas says. Everyone else gets in. "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" Dustin yells. "I'm going! Sit down!" Steve yells back.

  Now they are parked in the middle of a random field getting there weapons ready. "How's it feeling?" Dustin asks Eddie who is holding his makeshift shield. "Light. But durable." Eddie reply's. "Deadly. But reliable." Eddie adds. This earns a chuckle from Dustin. "Hear me now. There will be no more retreating!" Eddie dramatically says in a deep voice. "From Eddie the Banished." Eddie adds in his normal voice looking away. "Hey, your really ready for bat-tle."
Dustin jokes while Eddie just deadpans at him. Dustin then proceeds to laugh at his own joke. "You get it?" Dustin asks. "Bat-tle. B-A-T. No? I thought I had a good one." Dustin sighs while Eddie drops his shield, and runs to Dustin.

  "What are you doing?" Dustin says as Eddie push's him. "You son of a bitch." Dustin says while running to Eddie, and attacking him. Eddie then try's to give Dustin a wedgie. "No wedgies! No wedges!" Dustin yells not in an angry tone. "Never change." Eddie starts while looking at Dustin. "Dustin Henderson. Promise me?" Eddie says. "I wasn't planning on it." Dustin replys. "Good. Good." Eddie finishes with a laugh which Dustin returns.  "Hey Sinclair's!" Eddie says while letting go of Dustin. "How are those, uh, those spears coming?" Eddie asks. Lucas replys with a thumbs up.

  "I mean it just doesn't make sense." Steve starts. "What doesn't make sense?" Robin asks. "That was Dan Shelter." Steve says referring too the guy they saw Vicky kiss while at War Zone. "He graduated, like, two years ago." Steve says "So?" Robin asks. "So he's in college. Which means he was visiting on spring break. Fast times was returned, like, I don't know, a week ago? Right? Unless she's got some horndog brother we don't know about. Which is possible. Or she's just really into Judge Reinhold? Nah." Steve rambled. "Steve!" Robin interrupted. "What?" Steve asked looking at Robin. "I don't care! And I don't understand why you do either with everything that is going on. Honestly, this feels like a perfect time for that little pull of the rug, because... in the face of the world ending, the stakes of my love life feels spectacularly low." Robin points out. "I mean, yeah, I get you there, but I still have hope." Steve says. "Not everything has a happy ending." Robin says. "Not everything has a sad ending either." Steve points out.

  "Look Steve. You're just—I'm sorry, but you're just never going to understand what it is like to like someone that is the same gender." Robin says. Steve sighs and looks over to Eddie then back at Robin. "I think I do Robin." Steve says. "Oh really? What you have a secret boyfriend I don't know about?" Robin laughs. Steve looks at Robin, and doesn't say anything. Robin's face literally drops. "Oh my god, you have a secret boyfriend I don't know about!" Robin whisper yells.

  "Who is he? Do I know him? How long? Why haven't you told me sooner-?" Steve cuts Robin off. "Hey, hey, hey, I'm one person. One question at a time please." Robin takes a couple deep breaths calming down. "Okay. I'm chill now. Um how long?" Robin asks. "About three months." Robin gasps. "Three months?! And I'm just now hearing about this?!" Robin asks. "Sorry I wanted to wait." Steve shrugs off. "Fine. Uh do I know him?" Robin asks. Steve smiles at her. "Yeah, yeah you do." This gets another gasp out of Robin. "Who is he?!" Robin asks. Steve looks towards Eddie direction, and sees him play fighting with Dustin, and chuckles a little. He then looks back a Robin who's jaw is almost touching the ground. "Oh my fucking god. You Steve 'the hair' Harrington is dating Eddie 'the freak' Munson?!" Robin asks with disbelief. "He's different then everyone else." Steve says. Robin then hit Steve on the shoulder. "Ouch!" Steve said. "That's for not telling me sooner." Robin says. "Okay I have one last question. Have y'all, ya know?" Robin says while wiggling her eyebrows. "Robin!" Steve says. "Well have you?!" Robin asks again. "Robin!"
