That night, Simon finally fell asleep after crying from such a terrible day. Roger apologized over and over for starting the fight. Simon didn't know how to feel.
He wasn't quite sure if he was mad at Roger or not.

Simon woke up in the middle of the night to a frantic tapping on his window. He sat up, and cautiously opened his curtain, jumping at the sight of Ralph standing there.
Simon opened his window, realizing that Ralph was crying.

"Are you okay? Why are you here?"
Simon asked.

Ralph looked around, before climbing into Simon's window. Simon helped him in, shutting the window closed as Ralph fell onto Simon's bed.

"What are you doing?"
Simon asked.

"I feel awful."
Ralph began, straight to the point.

Simon shook his head.
"Ralph I already told you, I forgive you."

"I know Simon, I know.
But I just can't believe he kicked you out of choir."

"He took your position as student body president..."

"I don't care about that, all I care about is you..."

"But your reputation-"

"Simon, I don't care what happens to me. I don't care about embarrassing myself or losing popularity, but by God I never want to embarrass or hurt you..."

"Ralph..."

"...I-I was gonna come to your concert..."

"You were?!"
Simon exclaimed.

Ralph nodded.
"I was gonna buy flowers and...I'm sorry I know that's cheesy.."

Ralph looked up at Simon who's eyes were watering.

"That's so sweet."
Simon's voice cracked as a tear rolled down his face.

Ralph quickly reached out, wiping it away.
Ralph held Simon's face as they stared into each other's eyes.
Ralph bit his lip, shifting closer to Simon.

"It's probably for the best i'm no longer in choir..."
Simon said, looking away.

"How come?"
Ralph asked.

"Knowing me, I would've fainted during the performance..."

Ralph shook his head.
"You would've done your best Simon."

Simon smiled, looking at his boyfriend once more.

"Simon?"
Ralph asked, leaning closer.

"Yes?"
Simon answered, blushing from how close Ralph was.

"I..."

Simon blinked at him.

Ralph took a deep breath, and suddenly closed the space between them.
He pressed his lips against Simon's, who melted against Ralph, kissing him back.
Ralph tucked Simon's hair behind his ear and held his face, deepening the kiss.

When they pulled apart, Simon's pupils were blown wide, his face flushed.

"I'm sorry."
Ralph said.

Simon shook his head.
"Don't apologize."
Simon said, breathless.

His body was shaking, he could hardly look Ralph in the eyes.

"I-I've never kissed anyone before..."
Simon confessed.

"Well..."
Ralph began.
"I hope I made your first kiss somewhat okay..."

Simon smiled.
"It was perfect..."

Simon hugged Ralph, who hugged him back tightly.
