Today was the day. The day that everything would break. The day a family would never expect.
The day of a murder.
Yor and Loid walked Anya to the school bus and waved goodbye. The two parents walked home peacefully and sat on the couch together. Loid felt the sudden urged to head to the bathroom and excused himself. 'It's time to execute the plan.' Yor said.
Though, deep inside of her repeated the word, 'no'. She loved Loid. She loved Loid more than she knew. But she couldn't give up her job as an assassin. Yor took one of the knives from the kitchen and stalked up to the bathroom door. Noises were heard from inside and as Loid was about to walk about, Yor lunged at him. Loid was caught by surprise and they both rambled on the hallway floor.
"Y-Yor! What are you doing?!" He said as he tried to block the knife from cutting him. Yor stood silent and managed to slice open a part of Loid's arm. He groaned in agony as blood spilled all over the floor. "Yor, what's gotten into you?" Loid said as he got up and held his arm with his other arm.
"I'm sorry it had to be this way." Yor said as she lunged at him again. Loid's strength is nowhere near Yor's, so he could only block her attacks. Loid managed to knock the knife out of her hand and she rolled back and stood up straight.
"Yor, I don't want to hurt you! Why are you trying to KILL me?" Loid said. Yor ignored him and ran faster towards Loid. They started to use physical combat and all Loid could do is block from her punches. Yor span on to the ground and repeatedly kicked Loid as his arms started to bleed.
The stab wound from the knife was already too much for Loid and his arm eventually gave up. Yor quickly grabbed the knife and she held Loid down easily. "Yor.. what happened to you?" Loid said as he struggled to get out of her grasp.
Yor stared at Loid as he tried to get out of her grasp. Her eyes became blurry and a tear rolled down her face. She loosened her grasp and Loid immediately got up and away from her. Yor stood back up.
"Im sorry, Loid. Im sorry for everything. I know you're a spy. I know everything now." Yor said as she wiped away the tear from her eye. She couldn't stand seeing Loid get killed by her, but it was her only choice.
Loid stood in silence. "So you found out, huh?" He stood up straight and sighed. "Im sorry you had to find out like this. But why are you trying to kill me? Couldn't we reason this out?" Loid said. "No, Loid. We cant. We cant fix this. After what I've done to you, the only thing I can do is finish you.." Yor's sentence trailed off. She walked to Loid and looked at him for a few moments then hugged him.
"Im sorry. I shouldn't of tried to kill you after finding out you were a spy.." Yor's voice cracked as she 'cried'. Loid was taken aback by her sudden change of mood, but then hugged her back. He then felt a sudden burst of pain in his chest. Blood spilled on the floor and Yor backed up, holding a knife.
"Yor..-" He said as he fell on to his knees. "I told you, Loid. It didn't have to be this way." Yor stared at him as he slowly bled to his death. Yor walked back to him and held him in her arms
"I loved you, Loid. I really did. But this job is my life. This job.. means more to me than you think." Yor said as Loid slowly passed in her arms. Blood spilled over the floor and Yor slowly set Loid down. A single teardrop rolled down her face as she stared at his lifeless body.
Im sorry, Loid. I truly am. Maybe if things were different, we would live a happily life as a family. Together. With Anya. I wish we could just end all of this and live that life. But again, I'm sorry it had to end like this.
