——"Mike! Get out of your room! You've been in there all day!"
Mike groaned and rolled over in his bed, burying his face in his pillow. He heard stomping up the stairs and groaned again as his door slammed open.
"Micheal. I know the break up was hard, but you need to find things to distract yourself. You can't mope around in your room all day." Karen stated as she walked over and opened the curtains, causing Mike to sit up quickly with an angry look.
"Mom! Can't you just leave me alone!" Mike whined as he flopped over and crossed his arms. Karen sighed and walked towards the door. "We'll be back Monday. Are you sure you don't want to see Nana and our family?" Karen asked once again.
Mike rolled his eyes as he turned. "No, I want to be alone. I'll go next weekend." Mike reassured as he pulled the covers up to his face. Karen gave a sympathetic smile as she walked over and kissed his forehead, making Mike scoot away slightly.
"I'm too old for that mom." Mike muttered. "Oh please, you're never too old for Mama's kisses. Bye honey, love you!" Karen smiled as she walked out of the room, making sure to shut the door. Mike heard her leave and got up. He was finally alone.
He went downstairs to play his Atari. He stepped into the basement and turned on his tv, linking it to his Atari. He put the cartridge for space invaders inside the slot. He began playing for a bit until he heard the doorbell ring.
"Ugh.. what now." He mumbled to himself as he turned off the TV and ran up the basement stairs. He walked towards the front door and didn't even bother to look through the peep hole, it was probably just some Mormons.
Mike swung the door open, a face a displeasure soon turning around when he saw who was at the door. He soon began to feel very embarrassed answering in his Star Wars pajamas.
"Will, hey! What brings you here?" Mike asked with surprise as he looked behind Will, but only saw his bike on the pathway. "Wait, did you bike in the snow?!" Mike asked with surprise, seeing that Wills soft lips were turning a light blue.
"Can I come in?" Will shivered, clutching his backpack. "Yeah! Of course, hurry before you freeze!" Mike said with worry as he pulled his best friend inside. Will sighed when he felt the warm air from the heaters.
"What brings you here?" Mike asked, scratching his arm. Will smiled and took off his backpack, reaching inside. "El told me what happened. Everyone's with her and I thought maybe you'd like some company." Will muttered, pulling out a Tupperware.
"Yeah. Everyone must think I'm an asshole." Mike sighed as he sat on the bench next to their front door. Will shook his head. "It's not your fault. People lose feeling sometimes, it's better to tell her instead of lying to her and continuing an unreciprocated relationship." Will started as he took off his puffer coat, revealing his knit sweater that his mom made him.
It was a bit oversized, but he looked really cute.
"You deserve to be happy too." Will said with as he kicked off his boots pointing at his Star Wars socks. "Look, we're matching!" He said with a bright smile. Mike let out a laugh and nodded, feeling less embarrassed. "Yeah... what's that?" Mike asked, pointing to the Tupperware he was holding.
"Oh! I um.. I made you some cookies to cheer you up, but I don't think they're that good." Will said as Mike stood up, taking the Tupperware and opening it. Mike smiled as he grabbed one of the cookies and biting into it. "Oh Will, these are awesome!" Mike smiled.
"Really? I think I added way too much butter." Will smiled as he rubbed his neck. Mike waved his hand with a humorous look. "There's no such thing as too much butter." Mike said finishing the cookie and looking at Will with a soft smile.
"You really made these for me?" Mike asked, he almost didn't believe it. Will never even attempted to cook for any of them. Will blushed and nodded, playing his his sweater hem.
"Uh.. Well I know how much you like your mom's cookies, so I tried to replicate it, because we used to help her. They're not the same but I don't know.." Will frowned. Mike nodded. "You're right, they're not the same." Mike said with a frown.
Will looked down with disappointment and Mike put on a huge smile and placed the Tupperware on the bench where he was sitting. "They're better!" He shouted and scooted Will into his arms and spun his around.
Will gasped as he hugged Mike's neck with surprise. "Mike! What are you doing?!" Will yelled with a laugh as Mike laughed and placed him on his feet, still holding him close. "Sorry, I'm just really happy you did that for me. You're the best." Mike smiled, placing his forehead against Will's.
Will's face heated up and before Mike knew it, he pulled away quickly. "Let's do something! Do you wanna watch a movie? Or we can read comics whatever you want!" Will said, turning towards the door and picking up the Tupperware, and walking towards the kitchen.
Mike followed him with confusion as they walked into the kitchen. "Um well. Do you wanna watch some cartoons and read comics by the fireplace?" Mike suggested. Will smiled and nodded.
Will sat by the fireplace as Mike pulled the TV towards them. Mike had closed the curtains and turned off the lights, so the only light source was the glow of the fireplace. It's not good for reading comics, but it's great for the atmosphere. wink wink.
Will put various pillows and blankets on the ground between two couches. It was very cozy and Will felt very comfortable and warm. Mike had soon joined him after plugging in the tv. He didn't turn it on, instead he sat with Will, facing towards him.
"So I feel like we haven't had the chance to talk in a while." Mike started, making Will look up from the cardboard box he was looking through. "Yeah.. is there something you want to talk about?" Will asked, turning towards Mike.
Mike blushed.
He broke up with El. Everyone thinks that he's moping over the fact that they broke up, but that's not it. He's moping over the fact he doesn't know what he wants anymore. Sure, El is awesome, and she's strong and brave.
But Will is Kind. He's gentle and careful. He makes sure everyone everyone is ok before he is, he makes sure Dustin and Lucas get home safe whenever they would bike home. He helps his mom and his brother all the time. He's always there when you need him. Even after everything Mike put him through while dating El, Will had always came when Mike called.
Sure eleven was beautiful with her chocolate eyes and soft brown hair.
But Will was breathtaking with his smooth skin and his warm hands. His hazel doe eyes and his pink cheeks. His small stature and his oddly cute bowl cut.
"Mike?" Will asked, waving his hand in his face. "Are you ok?"
