That night after Charlie had dropped her off back home she sighed softly and stood by the door squealing slightly to herself as she leaned back on the door feeling absolutely amazing for the first time in a very long time. She sped upstairs where her family waited in the living room all with the same smiles on their faces.
She smiled as she fell onto the couch and laid her head on jaspers shoulder as she told them all about the date she had with Charlie before she sat by the window waiting for the morning to come and thankfully it was the weekend so she didn't have to worry about school. But with her new found ability to enjoy human food she decided that she would go shopping for things that she wanted to try and things she already liked.
She hummed as she changed into fresh clothes before she drove to the small grocery store in town, as she walked inside she smiled softly as she walked around carefully picking things up she wanted to try.
She ended up spending quite awhile walking up and down the aisles grabbing food that she wanted until she ended up bumping into Charlie and his friend billy making her stiffen as she looked at the man from la push, she quickly tried to walk away but Charlie called her name as he walked over to her as billy wheeled himself.
He looked at her and smiled "I was going to call you this morning but I got held up with work i apologise" he mumbled
She looked up at him and smiled softly "you don't need to be sorry Charlie your job is important I would never get in the way of things you liked" she whispered as she slowly looked down at billy and smiled softly "hello Mr black" she mumbled
"It's nice to see you again miss cullen" he mumbled
Charlie looked between them both sensing the dislike coming from billy which made him frown before he shook his head as he looked into the shopping basket she had "buying food for just yourself" he mumbled as he looked at the steak in her basket
"No actually, my sister in law bought food for the family so I tend to buy for myself but I'm buying for myself and for you" she smiled "I know how shocking your cooking can be" she smiled as she teased him slightly
Charlie looked down at the girl in-front of him and smiled already feeling very attached to her.
He smiled and kissed her head gently not even noticing that he had before he walked over to the beer.
Billy looked at the man in shock who was so comfortable around the vampire girl making him frown as he looked at her.
"I trust you know all legends" she mumbled not taking her eyes off of Charlie
"I do" he mumbled
"Then you should know I'm not going anywhere ever, that man is my soulmate" she whispered making him gasp slightly
"I shall talk to the elders about you being let onto la push when Charlie is there" he mumbled as she nodded a little
Both of them smiled as Charlie walked back over "we're going to watch football and drink beer would you like to come and watch with us" he mumbled
She hummed as she looked at her basket "as long as I can keep my ice cream in your freezer" she smiled
He chuckled softly "I already know not to get in between you and your ice cream" he smiled as he nodded
"Then I'd love to" she whispered as she walked over to the cashier and hummed as she grabbed her purse getting ready to pay, after she had she smiled as she walked out to her car noticing neither Billy's truck nor the cruiser was there.
"Did you boys walk here" she smiled
"It's only a few minutes away" Charlie mumbled making her chuckle softly
"Come on get in I'll drive" she smiled as billy nodded enjoying seeing one of his best friends happy even f it was with a leech.
She hummed softly as she drove to the swan house and smiled as she saw it, she loved this house, you could tell it was Charlie's from the colours inside and out but what she absolutely adored about it was that all through the house his scent was the most over powering scent making her smell the familiar scent of gunpowder, beer and newspaper pages.
She slowly walked into the house taking both her own shopping and Charlie's as he helped billy into the house.
After putting her own food in the fridge and freezer to make sure it didn't go back while she was here she grabbed two of the beers and walked into the living room where both Charlie, billy and Billy's son Jacob lounged, she handed the beer to both Charlie and billy before grabbing a drink for Jacob who smiled at her a little. She went to go and grab them food before Charlie grabbed her hand making her look down at him "you don't need to do these things, we're more than capable of doing it ourselves, relax" he whispered as he squeezed her hand
"Would you not like me to make you some food" she whispered softly
He smiled "I will never turn down your foot darling it's amazing but not today, it's a tradition to watch football, drink beer and order pizza" he mumbled making her smile and nod.
She looked around the room looking at Jacob lounging on the large sofa with billy sitting in his chair next to his son and Charlie sitting in the arm chair that directly faced the tv, she looked into feb kitchen and saw one of the dining table chairs which she slowly started to move towards until he reached out for her again and pulled her to sit on the arm of his chair. He slowly wrapped his arm around her and watched as she relaxed into him.
For the next half an hour that's how they all stayed, Anastasia relaxing into her mate, Charlie holding the girl near him and billy every now and then watching them. That was until ana closed her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder both Charlie and billy knew she wasn't asleep due to how she was slightly ridged but they chose not to care but both for different reasons.
Billy had always tried to find the good in people but whenever he looked at a vampire he never could they were all monsters, but as he looked at his friend hold the vampire woman as if he were her protector, like she was the most precious thing in the world he couldn't help but smile, his friend was slowly opening up to this woman and he would be damned if he and the wolves of la push were the reason for them not being together and so he was determined to make sure that they could be together after all the woman next to Charlie didn't have the same sickly sweet smell that a leech did, no instead the woman smell almost identical to Charlie the only difference being that inside of her smelling like beer she smelt
