welcome to love in the digital age. goodnight texts, amazon packages shipped to your doorsteps, online dinner reservations, facetime. is that how love is nowadays? we toss such a delicate word around like it's nothing. we say "i love you" as if we were saying "hey, how's it going?" we're all gnawing on a generation we could've saved. and now, nobody sends letters every tuesday. women dont expect a dozen roses at their doorstep unexpectedly. men dont formally take you out to dinner. throw on a tshirt and a tight fitted dress and people call it a day. nobody wears tuxedos and pretty sparkly drewsses anymore. nobody gets ready as much. and apparently, your soulmate is one call button away. why destroy the beauty of something just to call it beautiful. love was a beautiful thing, but it no longer is.
