"Felix. Three macarons, please".
"The customers ordered 5 brownies".
"Five donuts, 3 caramel glazed and 2 strawberry glazed with sprinkle."
"One cherry cheesecake, Felix".
"6 muffins, take out".
"2 cinnamon rolls, Felix".
The baker was wiping all the sweat that gathered and formed on his dear forehead. The man is currently busy making dozens of chocolate chipped cookies. The morning and afternoon became strictly busy once again as dozens of customers keeps on coming in to their shop, keeping every staff busy on their works.
Most especially, Felix.
His arms, hands, wrists, and spine have been going pretty sore and achy from using them frequently for the whole 7 straight hours. He badly want to take a little break but not when after one customer will leave, another customer will step in and demand order. Felix need to keep working and moving. Bake, fry and cook all the customers' snacks or they'll complain annoyingly.
Jisung and SeungMin are staring at Felix in worry, both of them are taking a peek through the little gap of the opened kitchen door. They watched Felix slice himself in half on doing his all work.
"Man, he's been overworking himself". SeungMin spoke under his breath, shaking his head. He was amazed by Felixs' dedication to his work, but he couldn't help but to feel bad and worry.
"We should tell this to Boss. He can't always do the work by himself alone especially now that the shops' name has been getting quite the fame". Jisung suggested.
"But you know Felix will just hate it if someone is with him in the kitchen. He'll probably just deny the offer." SeungMin crossed his arms, feeling a little hesitant to Jisungs' opinion.
"I get that, SeungMin. But.....just look at him. Don't you feel bad for Felix? Look at how exhausted he looks". Jisung replied, hand is gesturing at the man working inside the kitchen.
"Of course i do, big cheeks." SeungMin rolled his eyes.
"Then we should consider saying this to Boss".
"Consider saying the what?"
The two employees rapidly turned around when they heard the familiar voice of the owner of the shop, bowing politely as they faced the elder man. Chan grunted from too much formality. "Stop that, boys. We've already talked about formalities, haven't we?"
"S-Sorry boss". SeungMin apologized.
"We were just surprised by you, boss". Jisung stated.
"Alright. Now please tell me what was it that you're about to consider?" Chan crossed his arms like a real boss he is, eyebrow flicked up while waiting for the two staffs to answer.
"Uhmm, it's....about Felix, boss". Jisung nibbled on his lower lip while trying to gain courage to speak.
"Owwkay? What about Felix?" The elder asked.
"Sir, we're worried about him. Especially since, you know? Yesterday i was absent and then he needed to replace me for a day. And now, a lot of customers are coming in and Felix has been working so hard alone inside the kitchen. I just thought that.....maybe....if we could hire more workers here?? Especially a baker. So Felix won't overwork himself doing all the baking and cooking." Jisung explained, moving a bit to the side and let Chan see for himself how is Felix doing inside the kitchen. Chan peeked through that gap and there he finally saw it..
Now he get it. He finally understand it.
And he realized he should've had made an action earlier than this. He should've solved this problem month ago already.
