Part Fourteen

Erica and Boyd ran into the den shouting for Acacia, she had been finding it difficult to do anything after Matts death. She had been thinking hard about what she was doing with Derek, he wasn't helping people, the only reason she was still with him was because she had no one else and she couldn't leave Erica not when they had finally gotten to a good point. It didn't matter anyway because Stiles didn't want her around

"We found another pack" Erica said excitedly taking her hands, she'd never hidden that she didnt like Derek and now she had a chance to leave and she'd take it if Acacia would go with her

"I've come to say goodbye" Boyd hugged her gently he knew how much she cared for Derek. He was like her father

"Don't leave me yet, give me until the game tonight and I'll come with you" Acacia begged she couldn't deal with being around any longer, Derek didn't stand for good he didn't even stand up for his pack

"I don't want you to resent me for this, if you stay ill stay with you." Erica smiled hopefully

Acacia shook her head adamtly, kissing Erica with a ferocity that she hoped would make her realise how much she loved her. "I'll follow you to the ends of the earth if thats what you want"

"Are you sure?" Erica wanted to cry she hadn't wanted to stay, but she was never going to leave Acacias side

"I'm extremely sure just give me alittle while to say goodbye" Acacia reassured her she had some things to sort out "I'll meet you later, if I'm late don't think I won't turn up, I'll be there for you"

"What are you doing here?" Derek asked he was happy to see her, but it wasn't the best time to have her around

"I'm leaving," She said quickly she had to rip off the bandaid. There was no turning back

"Of course she came to you" Derek said disappointed, he couldn't lose her it would be so much harder building a new pack "you know its a trap, there aren't any packs around here"

"I know it is, and that's why I have to go, I need to keep Boyd safe and especially Erica." Acacia would miss Derek. She'd always wanted a father that would love her. If he needed her to stay, she might, but there was so much pushing her to leave

"No, you dont you can stay," he said sadly, a slight desperation in his voice

"I made a promise to the girl I love, I have to keep that you understand, don't you," she froze hearing someone move "is someone here"

"No, no, ones here" Derek moved to stand in the way of the door

"Really, Derek, why are you lying?" a man asked, walking into the room

"I know you." Acacias' heart began to race as the room spun, images blured behind her eyes as the beast that had ruined her life changed to a man. Without a thought, she lept at him her claws outstretched, and Derek caught her holding her firmly in place "who is he?"

"His name's Peter he's my uncle." Derek knew the time would come that she'd find out the truth. He just wished it wouldn't have been when Peter was alive

"You're working with that monster," she screamed, seeing a flash of silver around Dereks neck she pulled it off him. The delicate silver chain that had belonged to her mother shined in her hand. "I've been looking for this for moths. How did you get this?"

"I found you in the woods that night, I felt so guilty I'd let you die I was so busy with peter, I just couldnt give the neckalce up" he admitted knowing it was the wrong thing to say

"I've hated Scott and his friends because I thought it was his fault and your now telling me it was you" she breathed angrily if she couldn't get herself under control she woul snap and kill him. She thought of Erica waiting patiently for her. She could slip up when she had the chance at a new life
