"Happy birthday, honey!" her mother cheered. "Your father's working now, but he said 'Tell my baby girl I love her!' so... we love you!"

"I will, don't worry. Bye!"
"Bye!" her mother said and ended the call.

"Good!" Yuuki exclaimed once she finished answering the messages. "Time for school!"
She put on her school uniform and went downstairs to cook breakfast.
