It's the mid 2nd century, and fleeing the persecution by Rome, a certain Roman Christian named Alexander had arrived at modern-day Palawan in his only trading ship, alongside 20 other passengers, who were refugees from the Roman Empire.
When the locals saw them, they were mostly curious about them.
And then, Alexander persuaded them not to harm them, saying that they are just refugees. But the language barrier between them prevents them from communicating. But luckily, another of the passengers can speak the locals' native language and became their interpreter. Not long after, those Romans introduced the Gospel to the natives, and soon after, they were converted to Christianity, becoming the second in Asia, after India. And soon enough, the Bible, which were written in Hebrew and Greek and composed of scrolls in parchment and papyrus, was translated into the early native languages of the early Filipinos.
