~Chapter 3~

I wake up to my alarm blaring, I turn it off, and then I slowly get up out of bed. I knock on my sister's door and she says "I'm up, I'm up, I'll be ready soon" I then head to my room and grab some clothes, and head into the bathroom to take shower.

after I'm done I grab my bag, my phone, and put my shoes on and then I knock on my sister's door again and say "dude you ready yet?"

she replies by saying "yeah I'll be down in a sec" so I walk downstairs and sit on the couch and scroll on Instagram while I wait.

2 minutes later she walks down the stairs and says "let's goooo" as she jumps off the last step, I grab my keys and we head out the door and lock it. we then start walking to my car and I notice the matte black dodge challenger we saw yesterday is gone again, just like yesterday morning when I saw them moving stuff inside of the house.

we drive to school and just shuffle songs from The Neighborhood. once we get there Haley is waiting at the front doors of the school waiting for us and when she sees my car in the parking lot she comes running towards us, but not before looking both ways. I turn my car off and put my keys in my bag with my phone and charger and put it on my shoulder, Haley greets me with a hug and then hugs my sister too.

we walk to the front of the school together and me and Haley say bye to Macie, we then start walking to our lockers and just talk about the latest drama that has been going on at school, we're not the type to get into drama but I'm not gonna lie, it gets pretty interesting sometimes. I like listening to drama but I don't like being involved.

As we're talking I see Billie walk up to her locker which is 4 lockers down from mine and Haley's, we're right next to each other. when I notice her at her locker I just stand there and stare at her in awe, Billie turns her head and looks over and notices me staring at her and I quickly look away.

Haley starts laughing so hard and I ask her "what the fuck are you laughing at bozo"

"you just got caught staring at the new girl. now that's hilarious, and look at your face you look like a tomato" she laughs again.

"bro shut up" I hide my face in my hands, I put my hands down and I turn to the side to see Billie walking towards us, as she passes me she smirks and looks right into my eyes as she walks. when she passes me she looks back to where she was going and I stand there in shock from what just happened, the way she stared into my eyes with her crystal blue eyes was just- I don't even know.

Haley just laughs at me again and says "dude you are so crushing on her" and I slap her shoulder while trying not to blush any more than I already am.

the bell rings and we head to class, I walk into the class and sit in the very back as I do in every class. The door opens revealing Billie at the door and walks in seconds later, she sits in the seat ahead of me to the left and gets her books out right as the teacher stood up to talk.

class is almost over and I've just been going back and forth between staring at Billie and looking at the teacher write on the board, I just can't stop thinking about her I mean she won't leave my brain.

A few minutes later the bell rings and I gather my stuff before heading to my locker, I put my stuff up, and when I close my locker door Haley walks up and does the same, once she's done we walk to the lunch room together. we walk through the lunch line holding our trays out for them to put food on our trays and we walk to an empty table in the back and sit down.

We're just eating and talking about all kinds of stuff when Haley's phone dings and I just continue to eat while she responds to whoever it was, a few seconds later she says "Brayden that boy that asked me out the other day, he wants to meet up right now for lunch, are you gonna be ok by yourself?" and looks at me

"wow your leaving your best friend by herself to go hang out with a guy you barely know" I fake scoff and put my hand on my chest pretending to be hurt.

"Amara shut the fuck up I know you playin" she playfully rolls her eyes and breaks out a laugh.

"yeah yeah go, have fun and text me if you need me. I wanna know all the details after" I wink, she laughs and stands up. she grabs her stuff and says "bye bestie"

"bye bozo" I laugh and watch her walk away with a smile on her face.

I grab my AirPods out of my pocket and put them in connecting them to my phone and plays The Strokes, I sit there and finish my food, once I'm done I sit there with my elbow on the table and my hand under my chin and just zone out listening to music.

the rest of the day goes smoothly, it was just the same as always, go back and forth between classes, starring at Billie half the time, and repeat.
